My daughter and I traveled to San Francisco for her 16th birthday. We arrived late evening and were greeted warmly by a young gentleman. He acknowledged my daughter, wished her a happy birthday and handed her a menu to choose a special treat to be delivered to our room. She was super excited and it made her feel special. Thank... Very elegant hotel in modern architeture. You would have incredible views of Union Square from the rooms. Location is excellent, as it's near from best stores, including department stores, restaurants and it's a strategic spot from other touristic sites of San Francisco. The service is very kind, excellent rooms and great breakfest.

It's a modern place, great location, and very comfortable beds. There are a few finishing touches missing that I'd expect from this level of hotel like no bottled water or kettle in the room, and the bare minimum bathroom toiletries. The breakfast buffet is pretty small in terms of choice, but the quality of the food was good.

We have stayed at the Grand Hyatt Hotel several times and have always enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and the views are breath-taking! The location couldn't be more perfect--overlooking Union Square. We especially enjoy going during the Christmas season when the ice skating rink opens on Union Square and the wonderful decorations are up.

We stayed there in Sept 2014 as part of a 2 night stay in S.F and it did the job. It is essentially a conference hotel, we found it easy to reach the main tourist destinations (it is fairly close to Fisherman's Wharf) and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room we stayed in was at the front of... More

My experience at the Hyatt was great. I stayed there for 4 days & 3 nights & I enjoyed my stay there very much. They had comfortable beds & pillows, my view was great, the room service was awesome (thanks Marnie), the doormen were very polite & helpful, the OneUp bar had a great solo guitarist/singer who was also awesome... While WiFi is free in the lobby they actually charge for it where you really need it in the conference center. If your building blocks cell signal it is a basic level of service to provide WiFi. This is 2015 and San Francisco. Get with it.

I was asked for my room preference - asked for a room with a view and got a corner room looking at a rooftop and no view What was worse, it was facing the construction site. Don't know if there are bylaws in SF regarding when construction can start but 2h of jack hammering (or whatever was making the noise)... More

My wife and I traveled to San Francisco for 3 nights. This Hyatt exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and the common area seemed well maintained. This property is in a great location and provides easy access to embarcadero and Fisherman's Wharf. We would definetely consider staying again at this property on our next visit to San Francisco.

San Francisco is a city of neighbourhoods and it can be difficult to choose which neighbourhood to stay in. This hotel has the advantage of convenience to all neighbourhoods and especially Union Square, which is at your doorstep. When we went, the hotel was very busy, but management handled check-in with ease. The rooms are very quiet and the food... More
