The hotel is perfectly located 2 blocks from Market St and Union Square - all you need is walkable, even if Embarcadero or Fisherman's Wharf is your destination. The room is great, clean, boutique style and super comfy. Staff is very helpful all times. Only negative was the fact of hotel restaurant closes, so had all my meals outside.

A boutique hotel in its truest sense. This was a lovely start to our road trip, and three nights was perfect. the location was nice, and a short walk to the nearest metro or cable car/tram stop. Alex welcomed us warmly and all staff thereafter were professional and courteous. We didn't do breakfast, but there are plenty of coffee shops... More

This was the 2nd part of a California vacation and I couldn't have been more pleased. I landed this hotel in April on Hotwire at a very reasonable rate for mid-summer -- was very excited to try it out. After arriving from an afternoon of travel complications, Jake got me checked into a decently higher floor quiet room (the "21s"... More

We travel at least 12 times a year, so we stay in a lot of hotels. From the moment we checked in, the staff could not have been nicer or more professional. Everyone you run in to is so pleasant, including housekeeping. The wine hour is very nice as well and the lobby is beautiful. If you have quick questions... More

Stayed here for work while she was in San Fran for business. Location is good, 5 minute walk from Market St in the financial district (Macys and other stores very close). Lobby and layout is nice. Rooms are good size (didn't have much of a view on the non-Suttor St side) and bathrooms were fine. TV selection was good. Very... More

Stayed 4 nights here. We were upgraded to a suite which was huge and worked out great as we had our teen age son with us. We used the main bedroom, whilst my son was on a fold out couch in the lounge, with the bathroom between. The room was nicely decorated and the staff were all very friendly. The... More

We had two rooms, one with two double beds, and one with a king. The doubles was an exterior room with no view, while the king was an interior room with windows to a courtyard, so no big difference there. That said, the king room was tiny, perhaps suitable for one but too small for two, so the $10 premium... More

Location is great. We thought the rates and the extra parking fees were high, especially for the value. Our room was very small and was an inside room so there was no view except of other inside windows and a roof. It was quiet though and the bed was fine. It was hard to get the room dark enough at... The Galleria Park is located within a brief walk of the City Center. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the room rate is very reasonable for the location. Next store are 2 restaurants, one of which is a French wine bar ( where we had a nice lunch) and also next store is an excellent coffee shop. The... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. We arrived via the BART train from the airport. The hotel is only a couple of minutes from the nearest train stop. The room size was fine, the bathroom was very nice. The room had a coffee machine but you can also get a free cup of coffee every morning ( great decaf) .... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Conveniently located in the heart of San Francisco, Galleria Park gives you easy access to everything the Bay Area has to offer to its visitors. The hotel is located with easy access to the Bay Area's central transit systems of BART, MUNI and the fabled cable cars. Within blocks are Union Square, Chinatown, the Financial District, Moscone Convention Center, and several world-class museums. The hotel is just steps away from world-class shopping destinations in Union Square--an area that is definitely a tribute to the power of shopping. Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, Gump's and a very substantial Macy's are right on the Union Square. The venerable Bullock and Jones and Tiffany and Co. are within walking distance, as is the nine-story Westfield San Francisco Shopping Centre with its three-level Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. It is also a center for exclusive couture and high fashion, with boutiques dedicated to Betsey Johnson, Kate Spade, Herve Leger, Karen Miller, and Michael Kors. Post Street, which is a block away from Galleria Park is where the high-end stores are located including Ralph Lauren, Ferragamo, Juicy Couture, Tory Burch, Ferrari and Porsche clothing stores. ... more   less
