If one thing stands out, it is the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate guests requests. This boutique Hotel has been refurbished. The refurbishment is not quite there as yet though. The bathrooms were on the smaller side and unfortunately our room was quite noisy, late at night and early morning(we could not... More

I stayed here for 3 days last week and had a wonderful experience. From landing at 8am and being able to check in early without any issues to the staff going above and beyond during the power outage. You can tell that they take pride in having excellent customer service and providing this to all guests. The location is perfect... More

Stayed here for two nights with family and was pleasantly surprised! It was very clean, and spacious and well decorated. The staff were friendly (even helped in looking up bus routes to get places), and there was free wine and snacks in the lobby every night at 5pm - Can't beat that!! It was also in a great location, right... More

This hotel successfully combines character with comfort. The rooms and lobby were exactly as pictured, calm and tastefully decorated. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Our room on the 8th floor, not facing the street was quiet. I wouldn't trade the historic, boutique quality of this hotel for a larger bathroom unless I were planning an extended stay. It... More

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is excellent, a short walk from Union Square and with a great choice of restaurants and shopping nearby. The BART station is also a short distance away, which was very handy and provided easy access to and from the airport. This is an older refurbished establishment... More

What more can I say? I have stayed in SF many times in the past couple of years and this is my favorite. Have stayed here twice and will again...location, clean, beautiful, cozy, and great staff. Last stay, we were upgraded to a suite due to a shortage of regular rooms. Really...it's my "go to" pick for places to stay... More

Wow! Staff was great and friendly. The rooms are a little small but super clean and nicely updated. We were greeted by the friendly hotel staff I have ever encountered. Between 5:30 an 6:30 they have free wine. Location is close to everything including shopping, dining and Chinatown. I will stay here next time I come to SF!

Our family of three stayed here for five days and never once wished we had stayed somewhere else. We had an executive king room on the 6th floor. Our room was a nice size for an urban hotel. The room was clean, the people were friendly, and the wi-fi was fast. We were worried about traffic noise, but had no... More

Overall Galleria Park is great. One thing I would like to mention is that it is very close to Chinatown -- walking distance. We went to Chinatown almost everyday during the stay for great Chinese food. Also, it is close to Union Square, where many shopping options are available.

Dear Chenhui_Shao, Thank you for such a great review! We are indeed extremely close to Chinatown, as you experienced, which opens up a world of great culinary options for our guests. It sounds like your stay was the perfect combination of 2 very important vacation essentials: eating and shopping. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and hopefully we can invite... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
