As far as a city hotel goes, this is a good choice. You should expect a price premium for the location, but you don't get a huge amount for your money - the room was quite small, but was nicely decorated and fitted out. The major downsides were that being on the street (even thought it was a side street)... More

A very nice and welcoming hotel with great location. Nice and modern rooms, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The employees were helpful and service-minded. Parking is expensive (42 $ per day + tax), but there is multiple public parking opportunities nearby for a cheaper cost. Would definitly stay here again and recommend it to other travellers.

This place is a fantastic small city boutique hotel, with very good rooms and a comfy bed. Union square, the financial district, and china town are all a stones throw away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. For the price I paid, I would defiantly stay here again! Also there is free wine from 1730 to 1830 every night,... More

My husband and I just spent one night at this hotel. It's a lovely hotel, a short walk to AT&T Park which was our destination. Our king room was very small and the bathroom is a postage stamp. No counter space in the bathroom to put your toiletries and only one hook for anything. Our room was quiet but only... More

The location is great. Its just a short walk to Market, Chinatown and the piers. The staff are really friendly and when we arrived at 10pm they were good at pointing us in the right direction for some late night food choices. The rooms are spacious for the price in central SF, toiletries are good bathrooms are big enough. Lobby... More

Stayed here for a week for a combination of business and then leisure. Really good location, smart comfortable rooms, friendly enough staff. My three rating is as much because a city centre hotel has to do something pretty special to take your breath away - Galleria didn't but still enjoyed my stay. Slight irritations - no milk in the rooms... More

Great location. 5 minutes walk from BART and Union Square. Room was comfortable, especially the mattress. Modern bathroom. Free wi-fi and complementary wine bottle on arrival. Daily happy hour. The staff was great and extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Would recommend for folks who are looking for a reasonably priced place to rest before and after touring the city. The restaurant... Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
