Noisy smelly no air poor service, breakfast in the driveway, BEDBUGS. In 49 nights in the USA this was far and away our worst. We cut short and left San Francisco we were so over it. The place should be condemned.

All my wedding guests decided to sleep there. There rooms looked very old, it was very hot and noisy. Very difficult to find a parking space at night. No breakfast. I have to admit the location is very central, you can go by walk everywhere in San francisco. So if you are prepared to compromise in the quality of of... More

Save your money and stay away, the room have no ventilation or cooling, the place drastically requires new carpets, a decent clean and helpful staff... The stay was awful. Breakfast was covered in flies... Just pay a bit more and go somewhere better, anything would be better

Where to begin... The person in reception was rude and not very helpful, the room was basic and not very clean - the freezer box was in need of defrosting. There were no screens on the windows and the heater in the room looked like it should be condemned. There was only 1 chair for the 4 of us to... More

It's located right in the middle of Lombard Street, and it is near food outlets such as Mel's, Denny's and such. However, the room is old, and has a musky smell. The carpet is sticky too. Carpark is limited, so it's based on first come first served basis.

On a recent trip to California we arranged to stay at this hotel sight unseen. The price was affordable...but that is the only good thing...that and the location. The room is small and the hotel is very old. The beds were horrible. I was unable to sleep for long as I was always tossing and turning. The boxsprings were so... More

Well I didn't see any bed bugs in my room,as some people experienced. However, there was definitely a room about 7 doors down that sorta looked condemned and scary.. Mattresses up,furniture turned over (yes I peeked in the window as I walked by ) My room, other than being very old and dirty, had no bugs. Thankfully I brought disinfectant spray... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Presidio Inn on a resent trip to San Francisco. After reading the horrible reviews I called the night before to confirm our reservation and ask if we could park at 9 am when we arrived. The gentleman who answered ( I assume to be the owner. He was a man in his 70's... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
