Everything about this hotel is amazing as we cannot wait to return Amazing attention to detail, and guest service, from the individually wrapped jelly beans in reception to the room service, breakfast and parking, the staff here make you feel like family and made our 25th wedding anniversary very special

I loved our three night stay at the beautiful Hotel Drisco. The hotel reminds me of an old San Francisco boarding house. Every member of the hotel staff is friendly and focused on providng excellent service. We loved our room (305A), a suite with a king-sized bed and a living room (where our teenager slept on a roll away). This... More

Loved everything about Hotel Drisco. Exceptional level of service with lavish wine and cheese spread each morning plus substantial and delicious continental breakfasts. Everyone is friendly and super attentive, willing to go the extra mile to ensure that guests are happy and their needs are met. The rooms are spacious and charming. We were given an upgrade to a suite,... More

In the world of 4 star ratings for hotels, the Drisco is a 5 star experience. Yes, it has repeatedly made it into a very special category, a category reserved for only the very best, and this time it was once again a stellar stay. What makes it so wonderful? Saying a categorical "everything" is unenlightening. So lets begin. The... More

We have just had two nights at the Drisco. this is an hotel that others should model themselves on. The level of service is simply fantastic, they think of every conceivable detail and do everything possible to make a stay easy and supremely comfortable, it is not central but that means it is quite, they will call a taxi any... Dear Guest, I love your suggestion that other hotels should model them selves after the Hotel Drisco. In fact, we have hosted many managers from other hotels over the years that have taken our innovative ideas back to their properties! I am happy to share, because I know that no one will ever be able to completely replicate the magic... More

I have lived in the neighborhood for many, many years. This place was originally called the "El Drisco" but the name changed when they refurbished it a few years ago. This is a hidden, unknown jewel of a place that we neighbors always tried to keep under wraps. For many people in the neighborhood, it's the "guest house" where you... More

Pros - Amazing personal service (you get what you pay for), fabulous wine reception, beautiful traditional hotel Cons - No parking (although staff will look after your car keys & move your car to avoid a parking ticket), no air con, very noisy overnight (because you need to keep your windows open to keep cool), Pacific Heights is quite isolated... We spent 5 nights at the Drisco and could have stayed even longer. From the moment you arrive you realize you are somewhere special and are treated as such. The service, the food and the terrific staff all reminded me of a luxury hotel in London where service is everything. The location is the best, on the top of Pacific... More

Dear Guest, I loved your comparison of the Hotel Drisco to one of the great small hotels of London! I used to live in London and have a great fondness for the culture of service one can find in many of the small, independently run five star hotels there. Thanks so much for your review. Kind Regards, John Spear General... More
