Wonderful stay in this non-chain, well-located and completely renovated hotel. Excellent service, delicious compementary breakfast, friendly staff who offered to move our car to avoid tickets and gave us passes to a local gym if we wanted a fuller workout than the modest but fully equipped yum in-house offered. I highly recommend staying at the Drisco!

Our stay here was great. The staff truly goes above and beyond to make sure guests are satisfied and feel welcome. Amenities are also great. And parking is free - cars need to be moved every 3 hours during the week, but the staff keeps track and moves cars around on behalf of the guests for no extra charge. Also,... More

If you're in SF for one night this may not be the place for you, if you're in SF for more then one then read on. We had 4 nights and this place kept on growing on us. It has a charm all of its own, perched atop of Pacific Heights. It's the little things that made it, the wine... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post such a thoughtful review. I quite agree that to get a sense of what it feels to be a San Franciscan one needs to stay in a neighborhood hotel like the Drisco. Thank you also for your comment about the guest bathrooms -- it is a fair one! Although elegant... More

We've stayed here twice this year. Once I stayed in the two bedroom suite and the second time in the one bedroom suite. Each was like an elegant turn of the century apartment. The location was gorgeous; the view was fantastic; and the room was fabulous.

Stayed 2 nights of a 7 day tour of the area. Comfortable rooms, great amenities, good location near shopping, sightseeing and food, awesome staff. I travel a lot and this was a real treat. Highly recommend.

This hotel is magic! Unassuming, perfectly outfitted and simply elegant. The food (breakfast and wine tasting) is great and the service is wonderful. The rooms are so nice but not overly done. The neighborhood is great! Overall, it feels like you are staying with a good friend, with nice amenities, rather than a hotel.

Found this hotel on Trip Advisor as the #1 hotel in San Francisco. Although I, nor anyone I knew had ever heard of it, We took a chance and booked it, much to our delight. Service was wonderful and everyone on their staff that we contacted could not have been more friendly or helpful. Shay, whom I talked to prior... More

We chose this hotel because of its good reviews on TA and on other guides. Everything was perfect. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom quite large. We were on the second floor and had a great view of San Francisco. In the evening we enjoyed the tasting of different wines and the nice assortment of appetizers. For breakfast,... More

Dear Guest, Thanks so much for listing the many things you enjoyed about your stay with us. I think I love "the little things" at least as much as my guests do, so thank you for mentioning the embroidered linen napkins. We just had them made last year and they are rather costly to produce and maintain, but I think... More

All of the prior reviews say it, no exaggeration. This was the most welcoming and comfortable hotel We have ever stayed at. Friendliest staff, wonderful room amenities, neighborhood location, Euro style breakfast, afternoon wine & cheese. Like staying in a private club, but casual. No convention and business bustle. Not to be missed!

You'll feel like you're staying with friends or at a private club at this lovely city retreat! Don't miss fabulous breakfast buffet or afternoon wine / cheese selection. Both are worth rushing back to hotel for. Insist on high floor if you want great views and high floor corner suite for views with added space. Well worth the extra cost.

Dear Guest, Thanks so much for your enthusiastic review! Regarding the views from the guestrooms, I should point out that even though the Drisco is only four stories tall, we're perched on one of San Francisco's highest hills, so even some suites on our first floor have lovely views. If you would like a view, please be sure you book... More
