Good location in terms of proximity to Downtown, Union Square, shopping, restaurants etc however the Tenderloin is rough. I felt a bit unsafe at times with lots and lots of homeless people, lots of noise during the night and dirty dirty streets. Disappointingly the hotel wasn't fantastic either. Rooms were clean, however wifi didn't work for the entire three days... More

The room was bare essentials with two queen beds and a refrigerator. No alarm clock, no shampoo. The sink was separate from the bathroom which is always useful when there are multiple people. There were 10 electrical outlets available! They served coffee in the lobby each morning. The room was kept clean and the hotel was quiet for the five... More

Stayed at Motel 6 for a week, rooms are spacious and very clean even the bathroom. Room interior is sparse but exactly what you need, fridge, AC, TV and curtains to keep the light out. Location is central and sits on the outskirts of Tenderloin but no worries there are homeless people everywhere in San Francisco, if you leave them... More

Great rooms, great location and everything was extremely clean. Perfect for walking tours in San Francisco. We piled in and out of the room and had a great time. Fabulous city for families and couples.

Checking in was simple. I thought it was stupid that if we paid in cash they had to take an additional $100 as a deposit. So I decided to take everyone's cash and just pay with my card. As far as our room...it was clean. It looked exactly like the pictures. For just us three girls we only utilized the... More

I stayed there a couple of nights. The room was basic--just like every other Motel 6--no fancy furniture, etc. The room as very clean and was quiet. Given that it's in It a busy part of downtown San Francisco, the quiet was refreshing. They also have lots of parking in their garage.

I stayed here for 3 nights during the 2014 World Series and was very happy my stay. The staff is nice, the rooms are large for San Francisco standards and the price was right. It's clean and there are plenty of restaurants and local stores in the neighborhood. 2 blocks away is Van Ness Blvd. On Van Ness you can... More

We were looking for a fairly priced room not too far from downtown, with free parking and a room big enough to fit a baby (ideally with a fridge). It was hard to find. Motel 6 was a good choice at a fair price for San Francisco. We paid 394 $ for 3 nights. We had two queen beds, a... More

This Motel 6 is in the Tenderloin, a VERY depressing area, but just blocks from better areas. The sidewalk are populated by many homeless, drifters and those with mental health issues. I saw a robbery occur when out walking one morning. You can hear the riff raft on the streets wailing well into the night. That said, this property, like... More
