We booked this hotel at the last minute on expedite, which didn't really leave us much choice. We needed something close to the Fillmore that wasn't super expensive. Luckily this was only a short drive away. However, it was a short trip so I can't speak to its proximity to any other tourist spots. The hotel is small and can... More

I stayed in Days Inn for 3 nites in March 2011 with my husband. It's a good location with a bus stop 2 blocks away that runs every 10 minutes. The place was just a bed for my husband and I to sleep in. Nothing fancy. The owner however cannot give directions/pointers/ideas so make sure you have a plan of... More

We stay here for two nights and are booked to go back the end of the month for three nights. This was a pleasant surprise. Front Desk was certainly very nice, I'm forgetting his name now. The room was very clean and smelled fantastic. The linens were all very clean and fresh down to the pillows. The refrigerator and micro... More

The location of this hotel is very good. It is located on Lombard Street, very conenient when moving by car. Besides, the hotel has its own parking. After a 5 minute walk, on Street, there are many restaurants and bars that open until late at night. The room was large and confortable. The breakfast was not very good. It was... More

The top floor room was filthy with blood in the toilet. It hadn't been vacuumed in years. We pulled back the bedspread and sheets and there were black hairs all over the sheets. We complained and the manager said, "the third floor is not really checked for quality". I booked on Priceline and was kind of stuck. He put me... More

It takes weeks to get rid of these bites! They are so painful and irritating. When I called to let the owner know I was bitten he told me this was the first time he had ever heard about it in his hotel. I then looked it up on the web and sure enough many others before me complained! He... More

This hotel was a nice surprise for us. It looked like motel, but it really didn't matter. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was clean, with nice and big bed, new TV, internet access, microwave, coffee maker, fridge. The bathroom was small, but clean. We had a room with a view to the street, but we didn't... Have just stayed in this motel during a short stay in san fran, luckily the location is excellent otherwise I would have walked straight back out of the room and left. Similar to other reviews I would rather have paid a bit more and stayed somewhere clean and comfortable. The rooms smell terrible, are dirty with wallpaper peeling off. Never... More

We stayed at a lower level room, and place looked clean. The staff is very friendly, but we got bed bug bites the next day! and what's worse is that we feel we have them in our home, although we haven't seen them, my wife keeps getting bitten! so I informed them and they did not offer to pay for... One of the better cheap hotels I've stayed in. Decently clean - small, but convenient location makes up for it. There is parking but get here at check in or soon after to get a space. You are right on the 38 bus line from this hotel - and there are restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I'll definitely stay here... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
