We have stayed at the Cornell each year for many years and have always found it to be well located, clean, comfortable and with a very genial owner and staff. For it's location the hotel is very fairly priced with a very good and fairly priced parking partnership nearly across the street. The complimentary fresh, served breakfast, is a plus... More

This delightful hotel is like being in Europe. The decor is French, the rooms are charming. The Restaurant Jeanne d'Arc - is worth the trip alone. Room includes parking, which is a major plus in San Francisco.

I didn't even consider booking any hotel except for the Cornelle Hotel de France for our most recent trip to San Francisco. Our last visit was in 2012. The rooms are so charmingly decorated with beautiful hand painted flowers on the walls and ceiling. Yes the bathroom is small but that isn't an issue for me. The location is perfect... More

Hotel location is very good , is only one block to union square. Hotel staff is very helpful and good-humored. Hotel decoration is so bohemian you can feel like living on18th century. Elevator was very compatible with the decoration. In the bathroom there is a claw-foot bathtub so it was very excited. They serve breakfast between 7:00am-9:00am so if you like... More

quaint hotel perfect for an overnight in san francisco, reasonable parking garage across street, walking distance to many places, clean, enjoyed the art prints on the different floors. A quaint hotel in the middle of the city.

We did a last minute trip to the city with our three kids. Of course it was memorial weekend and I didn't plan on staying in the city so I didn't have a reservation. I was recommended to this hotel by a concierge at a large chain hotel. She hooked us up! I had to get two rooms but the... More

Great location to explore San Francisco. We thought the room was great and loved the renovated bathroom & shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included is definitely better than your average hotel breakfast.

Super friendly service is the first thing you notice when you enter this charming hotel. Totally decorated in old French style inside and out. Great location and near many fantastic dining choices. However, the restaurant in the hotel comes highly rated ( Zagat 4 stars!).

This is a really nice little hotel. Absolutely perfect location just a block from Union Square. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to the breakfast staff who opened early so I could eat before my tour pickup! I will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here before and recommend it. I wanted to comment this time on the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. At breakfast, they are unwavering cheerful. The desk staff is also helpful. They do a good job of calling cabs, something not always easy to get on Bush St.
