Charming hotel, great staff with excellent recommendations for dining. Breakfast in the hotel was very good, fresh and served efficiently. Conveniently located off Bush Street. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I, along with 18 friends, stayed in this great little place during a weekend in SF celebrating my brother's 50th. I found it during a frantic search for rooms after we realized all the major hotels (and most of the minor ones) were booked solid due to a large convention. Luckily for us the Cornell had gone... A lovely quiet hotel in the middle of San Francisco. Extremely clean charming rooms. We stayed in the smallest "cozy room" Still bigger than many of the rooms we stayed in in Paris. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was fresh and good. Parking available across the street very affordable. Was disappointed only because the restaurant wasn't open on a... More

Only in the city for a night so I decided to stay in this quaint, charming French-inspired hotel located off Bush street. The room reminded me of time spent in several Parisian hotels, small, homey, but, thankfully, cleaner than those experienced abroad. Even though I unfortunately did not get to practice my French much, the decor, paintings, posters, wall paper,... More

My daughter and I LOVE this quaint, distinctively European/French-style hotel in the heart of San Francisco. It's close to many of the city's main attractions including shopping, Chinatown, museums, theaters, the Symphony and Ballet. Nearby parking is easy to access and reasonable (which is unusual for SF). It's a wonderful place to stay for an evening "on the town" or... More

We stayed for two nights in this wonderful 100 year old charming hotel. Clean & comfortable with a lovely clawfoot tub to soak in! Outstanding complimentary breakfast...omlettes, toast, fruit, coffee, juice etc served in this French Joan of Arc inspired restaurant. Lovely staff who made sure your stay was comfortable. Plasma TV but dont expect micro or fridge. Walk to... More

My wife and I had the last two days of our vacation open as far as where we were going to sleep. We ended up not being able to find a room because of the Biotech conference taking place downtown. We had the Concierge of the first hotel call the Cornell Hotel de France to see and we did find... More

Have just returned from 9 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. We booked one of their larger rooms which were quite spacious. Actually saw one of the other rooms and they seemed quite small in comparison. We chose this hotel for its location and we were not disappointed. Just a short walk to Union Square, lots of... More

We loved our 4 nights stay in this hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very attractive. Its decor as throughout the whole hotel is early 20th century French style and charming. Even the lift makes you feel you're in a left bank Parisian hotel. As for the restaurant, if you're lucky to get a booking, you won't be disappointed. The... More

Stayed here in December 2014 for one night. Good location for seeing the City. Slept with the window open. The hallway smelled like body odor and mildew, but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The best part was the complimentary breakfast served in a neat little restaurant that made it hard to remember we were in the... More
