Located in fisherman's wharf area made it easy to walk to most places. Little walk to the wharf, but not too bad. Rooms are OK but nothing amazing. Free breakfast is nice since most hotels don't offer that and decent amount of food options. Staff was friendly. Not the best hotel I've ever stayed in, but decent for being priced... More

The BAD: Room was cold, humid and moldy and it had a bad smell. Windows very dirty and didn't open. WiFi didn't work in the room and staff couldn't fix it. Breakfast really bad. The GOOD: The towels and linen were clean and the bed was comfy. The location was good. No bedbugs. Would not stay here again.

I read some of the reviews on this hotel and I booked it with fingers crossed. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The ladies at the checkin counter where lovely and let us in a little early which was great when you come off a 14hr flight. The rooms where clean, neat and tidy and the beds very comfortable.... We stay at this hotel every time we cruise out of San Francisco and with 31 cruises under our belts, it's not uncommon. The hotel is in walking distance to the Fisherman's Wharf and a short cab ride to the ports of debarkation. It is clean, reasonable, and has a decent breakfast included so time is not wasted in the... More

We have cruised 31 times with Princess and every time we sail from San Francisco we stay at this hotel which is near the ports. It is reasonable, has a great little breakfast,, is very clean and has a extremely pleasant staff. We would recommend this place to anyone going to S.F. It is right next to Lombard Street, the... We stayed here as we wanted to be in Fisherman's Wharf area and that fit our budget. What clicked for us was free wi-fi in rooms and free breakfast. However, free breakfast was not something that we enjoyed as same menu is repeated everyday. And the options are very limited. Apart from that the room was very good with excellent... More

One of the cheaper places to stay and very close to the warf area. Hotel was OK at best. Front desk staff was a joke and that's why they get 2 stars not 3. Front desk was very rude both times and for a Choice Loyalty Member they wouldn't let me check in early even with rooms available as mentioned... More

Hotels are pricey in San Fransisco. But this one isnt too bad, and not too far away from Fishermans Warf. Its within walking distance if you're normally fit - but I would recommend car/taxi if not. Had rooms towards the Golden Gate bridge. Can be some noise from the street next to the hotel, but it didnt disturb our night... More

The hotel is very good located, close to the piers, close to bus stops. There are many restaurants around, all in walking distance. The room was very nice and clean and we got the Golden Gate Bridge view. Breakfast food was nice, but the breakfast area was small for the hungry guests. The wifi only worked in the lobby, up... This hotel is comfortable, but average. They advertise free wifi but this very rarely works. The breakfast was awful, like a school cafeteria atmosphere and the food was awful. The eggs didn't look like any eggs that I had ever seen, and they expected you to clear your own plates. Location was good, about a 10-15 walk to Fisherman's Wharf.... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
