The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. Almost everything was in walking distance. (If you are a bit sporty) the staff was amazingly helpfull and very nice. We just had an 11 hour flight and they showed much intrest in our story and helped us to find 2 tickets to Alcatraz. The rooms were a bit noisy but you... More

A great little place. Charming and Clean as can be. Close to everything. Older building, older mixed neighbourhood. Colourful yes but never a problem. We were on the top floor and slept quite well. City noises are the reality. Water pressure a little low but given the great rate and proximity you cant go wrong. Front desk people were bright... More

Stayed here and loved it!great location. Price was not bad in comparison to surrounding places! The bartender was the best! Wish I could remember his name but he made some amazing cocktails! I would most definitely stay here again!

We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Bijou as part of our tour. The Hotel is a good looking building in the classic American style, complete with fire escape,..although the area has obviously seen better days, the situation being made worse by he local junkies and drunks choosing to congregate outside the Deli across the road and make a racket... I'd recommend this- depending on the price you pay. San Francisco is expensive, so Hotel Bijou may be the option you need. The location is ideal for access to public transport, shopping etc ( By the way, this city has an amazingly good transport system. ). The staff are helpful and friendly. I'd go again ..

Not really customer-focused service. Charged our credit card for a stay that was prepaid. They didn't notice their 600$-mistake. When I called they did not really apologize, refused to refund the credit card fees.

I stayed here for three nights during a conference. The hotel is in a great location and the people working there are generally nice and accommodating. The place, however, really needs a renovation. They advertise as a luxury/boutique hotel but they are far from it. The breakfast id not worth the 7 dollars except for the convenience if you are... More

(Note: I actually would give this hotel 3.5 stars, but the rating system doesn't allow for half stars.) The Pros: great location just a block and a half from Market & Powell, close to Union Square, shopping, BART, etc. Highly rated diner is just a couple blocks up the street. Excellent music at Biscuit & Blues a few blocks away.... More

Dear Guest Thank you for the review, we are very sorry to hear about your experience with room 201, actually you are right, it is a tight in space but that will get fixed. See you actually stayed in a recently remodeled bathroom that was a demo as to what we hope will be our new bathrooms next year, however... More

Stayed at this hotel, first impression was not good, in fact nearly moved to another hotel because of where it was situated the locals around were a little daunting, the rooms were small, no air conditioning, and the front rooms were quite noisy, but i guess it grew on us Latif the night manager was wonderful and such a great...
