My Partner and I were here for the fancy food show and really enjoyed our stay at the Bijou. Though some of times it was a bit loud outside it was after-all downtown and a small price to pay for the convenience to the Moscone Center. The shuttle bus even picked up right at the hotel. The Staff: Dennis, J.R.... More

I was very excited to stay at the Hotel Bijou, a small (65 rooms) vintage movie-themed hotel in San Francisco near Union Square. The hotel is very comfortable and very convenient for transportation and tourism. The neighborhood is not great, but not terrible either. There were some difficulties with our stay - they did not have a room with two... More

My BF and i checked in mid Jan. and at first found the area a bit dodgy but upon check in we were assured by the desk staff that it is an SF wide issue. The hotel itself is nice and welcoming, did enjoy the free wine. The staff Nanette and especially Dennis were very helpful especially with his wide... More

It's a fantastic hotel with all aspects!! First of all the service. Nannette in the frontdesk is very kind and helpful. The location is unbeatable. Next to Union Square and public transport. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. If I come back to San Francisco I will stay there again with no doubt.

The best part of the stay was the staff. J.R., Brenda, Nannette are great. They made my two week stay for a conference a pleasure. All requests were met with personal care and concern. I will stay again in the future. Thanks

Ok folks, this is in Tenderloin. It isn't super safe, but it's ok. Expect homeless to have a party under your window all night. Get a higher floor. The hotel itself is very decent inside, safe, and there might be even a free drink at the reception. Rooms are small, but vintage styling balances the smallness a little bit. Paint... More

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to write a review the hotel actually has rooms with queen size beds, it just depends what room type you choose. We are on the border of the tenderloin area but not in it. We have a great location close to San Francisco shopping Center, convention center, Cable car turnaround, and walkable... More

Excellent location, and good service. An old building and little but comfortable and clean rooms are the reasons why this hotel is not higher ranked. Free internet in all the hotel space, wine in the evenings and coffee all day long, and helpful staff are good reasons to recommend this hotel for vacations and conferences. The location is just one... More

The location of this hotel was absolutely perfect. Almost everything was in walking distance. (If you are a bit sporty) the staff was amazingly helpfull and very nice. We just had an 11 hour flight and they showed much intrest in our story and helped us to find 2 tickets to Alcatraz. The rooms were a bit noisy but you... More

A great little place. Charming and Clean as can be. Close to everything. Older building, older mixed neighbourhood. Colourful yes but never a problem. We were on the top floor and slept quite well. City noises are the reality. Water pressure a little low but given the great rate and proximity you cant go wrong. Front desk people were bright... More
