A friend who lives in San Fran recommended this motor inn as a cheap clean place to stay in the city. Compared with other places this place is a steal and is in a reasonable location and walkable to market street/union square area. There is a Trader Joe's down the street and looks like there are some developments being built.... More

OK this is not a Hilton hotel by any means but its a reasonable price with large rooms. This hotel was recommended to us by a friend who lives in the area. We checked in with no problems and we were surprised at the size of the room that we go on the upper floor. It was massive Plenty of... More

I'm very disappointed. I requested an email or fax of my receipt and was told no. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was the manager I asked to speak to her (Kimberly E.) General manager, was told she was the GM. She hung up on me twice as I was nothing but calm and professional.... More

Ended up charging us for parking though it says its free. Rooms are nothing what the picture looks like, all in all bad service. Location is in a shaddy neighborhood, and the staff is rather not accommodating.

This hotel is not in a safe neighbor , is too much money for the rooms and for the front desk service, the only one who is friendly in that hotel is an Indian guy who works at the front desk and the lady who works at the breakst area. The hotel do not has any security and are a... More

This place is good for what it bills itself as. Clean rooms, easy check in, good breakfast. We stayed our first night after arriving in SF before taking off for Redwood National Park. It did the job just fine. Don't know if I'd want to stay in this neighborhood for an extended period of time, but it was good for... More

If you value your lives and wish to stay in a safe friendly environment STAY AWAY THIS THUG & DRUG INFESTED ENVIRONMENT!!!!!!!! From the check in process to the check out process the entire process was bungled. We stayed here because of a manager refusing to follow protocol and cancelling our reservation at another establishment. The entire stay was a... More

I had only two "problems": the wifi is AWFUL i could even say that there is no wifi in the hotel and the other problem is that I stayed in the first floor and my room was very close from the street so at night we can see and listen people walking around... I felt scared! Its not that save... More

If you book with Expedia or bookaroom.com you will get value for money, but the price they charge at the hotel seems a bit steep. It was value for money for us. Large clean bathroom, queen size bed, fridge, tv, microwave and heater. Breakfast was pretty average, but there are so many restaurants nearby you don't need to stay for... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
