I can't exactly say you get what you paid for, because for the $200+ I spent it was extremely basic. However, there were virtually no hotel rooms available under $400 on a Tuesday due to a big conference, so given those circumstances I can't complain. It was about a 10 minute walk from the Civic Center BART, and yes its... More

Booking: Superior Room like the hotel picture. :-( If you want to stay in a tiny motel room with a little bigger bath room, then this is the hotel for you! We booked on booking.com and it was saying check-in 02:00pm, we arrived 02:20pm. And a very rude young lady at the desk, told us to come back later. We... More

I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest and closest to me coming in from l.a., upon arrival some homeless people outside but just walking by the hotel so no prob. Easy checkin being late at night the room had all the basic necessities and it was pretty clean, parking was a bit tight but was able to find a... More

We came to SF to visit for our family vacation. I must say it was perfect for us. Staff was Great, the women who checked us in, Stephanie, was great! She helped us plan out our days, and where to go and all. Location was perfect, due to hotels closer to downtown have to much going on. Noise , of... More

I spent 1 night in this hotel. The cost with taxes and everything added up to 200$ which were overall not worth what you get. Pros: -It's clean, furnishing had seen better times though -The staff is ok -No problems during the booking & check in / out -good location, close to downtown -TV, coffee machine, Microwave -good shower Cons:... Good Place to stay for a place like SFO. Its cheap and close to the downtown. The best part is the Breakfast options in the morning. You may take a walk along the street to the downtown. however, the street has many traffic lights...

The only good thing about this place is that Trader Joe's is down the street, but don't walk alone lots of street people. The young lady that checked us in was rude, but the young lady that checked us out was very nice. The room was ok I guess but the sofa in it was dirty as was the carpet.

We stayed here on our week long trip to San Fran. Initially upon arrival to the area I was a little worried, but after walking around a little bit my worried eased up. Yes - it can be a little hard at times, lots of street people, garbage and homeless people on the streets, however we never once had an... More

Stayed here with family. Room was okay and reasonably priced. It is well located for visiting San Fransisco.. Make sure you have your Uber account set up, food delivery app etc as there is not much nearby. There is a sports bar and a restaurant.. HOWEVER you have to be comfortable with the street down and outs. If you have... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
