I chose this motel mainly because the parking is free while most hotels in SF charge $25-$40 per night for parking. It is about 1.5-2 miles from Union Square where you can shop, eat and get on tour buses etc. As of July 2009 it's still under major construction outside. It's on a VERY NOISY street in dirty neighborhood full... more

My husband & I stayed here for two nights. We got a great deal booking through Cotsco.com. When we arrived everything ran smoothly (sometimes online booking is a hassle) The guy at the front desk asked if we were familiar with this are and we said no, then he told us how there are gay clubs and that men would... more

I stayed at this hotel in late April 2009 and I was not aware of the remodeling that is taking place on the hotel. It is happening on the outside of the building but it involves loud power tools and hammering from 10 am until 5 pm daily. They claim to be offering very discounted prices in return for the... more

The location is pretty bad. Is quite a long walk to the attractions, we walked from fisherman wharf back, will take you close to an hour of walk. As you walk down, you can see the difference, the area went from high-class nice houses to dirty street, homeless and weird people on the street. I think they do not have... more

I have stayed at this hotel two times, twice were okay, one was excellent. This last stay was just alright. The hotel is remodelling. The work crew worked right outside my room. For some reason, there was a musty odor in the room which got better after I aired out the room all day. I did not feel safe leaving... more

Booked this based on location and a recommendation from a friend in San Francisco and took a cheaper booking option that prevented me cancelling the hotel. Was mortified to then read reviews on this site. Hotel not as bad as all reviews made out, but some substantial problems mostly - the noise. Motel is two levels, we were on the... more

Filthy, old, the area is a little bit scary. The room stinked cigarrette (eventhough it was supposed to be non-smoking). The breakfast was pathetic in equally pathetic minuscule lobby. more

My husband and I stayed there one night in June. The hotel (well... I think they could call it motel) looked very dated. The room wasn't very clean (spiderwebs all behind the fridge and bed etc), the carpet was dirty. However the bathroom was very spaces with an excellent power-shower (looked new as well). The price included breakfast too :-)... more

Booked this hotel via air miles since we wanted a place to stay downtown and didn't want to pay big $$ (the rate posted on Best Western was $379 so I figured it must be a nice hotel). Although the room was "ok...", bathroom was dated and no A/C plus I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with kids... more
