Stayed here last weekend when I was traveling for a conference. I always check for bedbugs when I travel but did not initially notice any signs (mattress and box springs were in zippered cases, didn't see any signs around the headboard). When I woke up Saturday morning, I noticed a few fresh spots of blood on the covers. I threw... More

Cool hotel - refurbished with edgy class. Not one where you say - "this look like every other hotel room I've seen before". The rooms are large & clean and the front desk is 24/7, helpful, and caring. It is only several blocks from Union Square and one block from BART. If you like staying out of the frantic fray... More

I stayed here back in October, and i have nothing to complain about! The hotel staff were extremely helpful with the issues we had with bookings, and always greeted us with a smile. Beds were comfortable and the room was a great size! The room got hot very easily at night, and we could hear footsteps from the floor above... More

Hotel is located on 7th Street near the junction with Mission Street and within 5 minutes walking distance of the Bart Station Civic Center/UN Plaza. If using the Bart, exit the Civic Center/UN Plaza station and then walk 1 block along 7th street, cross Mission Street and you will see the hotel on the right hand side (directly opposite the... The hotel is located in a still seedy but rapidly gentrifying area of SoMa. It is a block from the UN Plaza BART station. There are lots of derelicts and druggies on the street, but also young hi-tech types who are increasingly moving into the area. The hotel itself is fine. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable, decorated in... More

Spent the weekend here. The Inn was ok. The room was just a room. Nothing fancy. Clean !!! Morning breakfast box, was just juice, apple, yogurt and a croissant. Front desk, Awesome help. Joseph was a wealth of Information. Anything he didn't have available, he googled it. Rough area, but we felt safe. Close to buses and streetcars to Ferry... More

I traveled to San Francisco for the Oracle Open World conference and I stayed here with my colleague. The lobby was actually smaller than my actual room. The room itself was nice and clean but the rest was terrible. The breakfast was the same everyday; croissant, yogurt, banana and oj with either cherrios or raisin bran. I tried to have... More

The staff is very friendly & helpful, the room was clean & the bed was very comfortable. Box breakfast every morning & it was really decent! At least they have parking available if you rent a car. Easy walk to Market Street & cable car to Pier 39 & Fisherman's Wharf. Only downfall is the location.

Yes, the neighborhood is a little rougher than most hotel zones in SF, but it's not dangerous by any stretch. The service is friendly and attentive, the rooms are on the larger side and clean, and the price is fair. There's a small fitness room available across the street at their sister hotel.

If only this hotel was better located then I wouldn't have hesitated to give it 5/5. The area it is in is rather sketchy and none of us felt especially comfortable walking around at night. The hotel itself also doesn't look like much from the outside. Accordingly this meant that we spent more time at the hotel and its sister... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
