We stayed here briefly on arrival late in San Francisco, before transferring to the Beresford Arms. It was OK, reception staff not especially friendly on arrival and our room was smallish with a tiny bathroom. Surprisingly quiet for its location which was very convenient near Union Square. This place is terrible. No aircon, no fans, no window you can leave open as not secure enough. San francisco has all those fire escapes in buildings & if you leave anything open who knows who will crawl in!! Location was fine, but everything else YUCK YUCK YUCK more

We tried this hotel based in part on the positive reviews here but were a bit disappointed. Of course the location is great, but our room was small, crowded, and awkward--there was very little desk/counter space to put things on. Have stayed here on 5 occassions now, its a good deal when you can't get a 4 star hotel under $100. This property fits the bill, its in a decent area, close to everything and offers a pretty decent continental breakfast(muffins,donuts,bagels, juices,milk, fruits) I look forward to visit #6 more
