This hotel is a little bit expensive, i understand that the hotel prices in San Francisco in general are expensive but if You pay a lot You should get a lot. The room is Ok. Its old and have poor selction og tv Channels and dont turn too fast when You sleep then the bed brakes. The breakfast is tragic... More

Stayed here in January with my daughter (who lives in SF). We had a super time. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff was generous with help that enhanced the experience. The wine hour was an added pleasure. I live in Marin, and love getting "away" to such a little gem.

The Hotel was perfect in location. Room was extremely small but very clean. Front desk staff were good. Breakfast was very nice and the attached restaurant and bar was fun. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely worst hotel experience of my life. To make it easier to read, I'll do the pros and cons. Pros: - Good location, close to Union Square - Comfy bed - Easy to use shower Cons: - Rude staff, we were never greeted on arrival, we were grunted at, like we were a nuisance - TV wasn't working - The... We stayed here in January 2016 for the first major stop of our honeymoon. This hotel is far from a gem but it is not without its charms. The good - location is excellent. It's close to union square and adjacent and connected to a great little pub. Rooms are clean. Old building has character. Only a block and a... More

Very good location. Comfort of Room ok but controls in shower leave water either cold or very hot. Blind and window were broken. Room had only one double socket to charge phones etc.. Unfortunately with our British plug converters their size resulted in only being able to charge one phone at a time. The thing that most dissapointed was the... More

Friendly staff and a nice breakfast in the morning. The hotel is slightly aged, but it allows for a vintage feel. It's in a good location, about twenty minutes walk from Fisherman's Wharf. Overall, we had a good stay and we would visit again..

The Beresford is a quaint and quirky establishment with a very good location in San Francisco. Depending on your budget and requirements I would definitely recommend for your stay. The pros: location very close to union square, Starbucks, taxi rank, cable cars, wifi, clean rooms and comfy beds, the white horse bar next door which we frequented in the evenings... More

Spent two nights at the Beresford as a base for our one-day Yosemite NP tour and to connect to our tour to the central coast. Staff were friendly at check-in, rooms were small and the interior was dated, but they were clean. In-room radiator was very noisy at times and overly warm, with no way to adjust the temperature. TV... More

Very nice old style hotel centrally located 1 block from Powell st cable cars and Union square . Rooms are small but comfortable , nice bed and good bathroom facility. No aircon so I would not stay here during the hot months. Otherwise I cannot fault this place. Good friendly service , staff willing and eager to assist. Very reasonable... More
