Girl trip to volunteer at Super Bowl 2016. Jr suite was perfect for 4 friends; comfy beds, includes kitchenette, wine/cheese in afternoon, but minimal basic pastry & fruit included with coffee/tea in lobby. Room was hot/no air; especially bad when coming back to room at night and try to sleep. Had windows open and has to ask for a fan!

Firstly Abdul the door man, super awesome, kind, accommodating, helpful. The staff was all very nice. Great prices on the mini bar! Clean comfortable rooms & bathrooms. Wine & cheese time was a pleasant little touch! Breakfast, we didn't actually partake. Simple but good to hold you over until you can get to another place to eat more! I love... More

Enjoyed our stay. Relaxing, convenient, with quaint pleasant atmosphere. Adequate continental breakfast of pastry, diced and whole fruit, better than average coffee. Afternoon wine and tea with assorted crackers, cheese and nuts. Room was well laid out and comfortable. Bathroom was fairly recently updated and all facilities functioned well. I had requested a quiet room and was satisfied as the... More

We had room 811. It was a large room with 2 queens beds, sizable bathroom with double sink and a kitchenette. The location is excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly. Complenentary wine and cheese is served in the regal lobby from 4:30 to 5:30pm. A continental breakfast is set out in the lobby for those on the go.... More

The first thing we noticed when we entered the hotel was a funky smell that seems to take over the lobby. After checking in, we went up to the room. The room was old fashioned which was fine however, the eider down had stains on it and we had to remove it for the 3 nights we were there and... More

This hotel has a vintage feel to it as their are crystal chandeliers, patterned carpets and patterned bed linen. This hotel is very economical and serves free breakfast in the morning and cheese and wine at 4pm.this place is great to stay as its close to the main square, shops and restaurants. Will come back as i liked the vintage... More

I am pretty picky about hotels. I do like the fancier kind...the ones in the great location. This hotel, by no means fancy, and a good three blocks from pretty Union Square, is still one of the BEST that I've been to in the city. I found it by googling, "San Francisco Hotel for Families of 6" as we are... More

Pros: Walking distance from Union Square and comfortable beds. Cons:Hotel is very old and everything was broken. One hot water faucet was broken in one of the sinks, one light switch in the bathroom (the one over the mirror) would occasionally not work, the water in the toilet would run and sometimes the toilet wouldn't flush. The area is very... More

Beautiful old hotel just near Union Square. Clean, friendly staff unfortunately no aircon. Fair walk to Fishermans Wharf up and down the hills even for the fit people. Fantastic tour on the hop on hop off bus. Golden gate bridge fantastic..Picked up hire car in San Fran, GPS bit slow to keep up in the city.

Our room was adequate, including the bathroom, although rather shabby. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful. In fact, I left a sunhat in my room, and they were kind enough to find it and send it on to me! I call that really good service. The breakfast was simple, but, again, adequate. The computers are a bit antiquated.... More
