This hotel turned out to be a perfect fit for us. It is in a great centralized location, close to Union square and cable cars. It had a small kitchen with a real coffee maker, a microwave and good sized bathroom (tub included jets). The bidet was more a conversation piece for my teenagers. I loved the bay window/window seat.... More

Great location. Good room - junior suite had two queen size and a kitchenette and very nice bathroom. No air con but not necessary. Continental breakfast was fine but we also chose to walk down the road to eat out A couple of times - honey honey - is good. Easy to get to everything. We handed back our hire... More

We started our Pacific Coast Highway trip in July with a three day stay in San Francisco. We stayed at the Beresford Arms Hotel. The hotel decor was quite charming whilst our room was functional, with en-suite bathroom and tv. Unfortunately no air-conditioning so it was lucky that the temperature outside was cool! Unfortunately there is no restaurant or bar... More

Chosen for its central location, it delivered in that respect being some 2/3 blocks from Union Square. Just finding the place even with a satnav proved difficult, and then to find that you have to pay $27/day for valet parking was not amusing. The hotel must have been magnificent in its day [around 1930 that is!] but is now very... More

We read all the reviews before making our reservation on this hotel. We knew going in not to expect much. We didn't get much. Here's the review: You get good location few blocks from union square. The hotel is old and out dated. The hotel has rooms suites 1 and 2 bedroom. There is free continental breakfast (muffins croissants fruit... More

As a family we had a bad start on this place, when arrived the asian lady at the reception was so busy and she was fairy arrogant and not very welcome. Wifi in our room does not exist at all, overall wifi in the hotel does not work and work extremely slow even you got full signal, we paid a... More

All round nice hotel, if somewhat dated. We stayed downstairs on level 2, which was very noisy until about 2am as it is street level, and could hear every person, siren and vehicle driving past (no double glazing). Quick pros and cons: Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed, polite and helpful staff. Cons: Noisy dated rooms, poor wi-fi (even in the... More

I liked the free wine hour in the afternoon! This is a happy hour, it seems to continue endlessly :-) (don't think I am an alcoholic...) It's a well located hotel. Friendly employees. Not tho big but a nice place to stay.

We stayed here in June 2014 on a trip from Brisbane along the West Coast USA and Canada. Clean, comfortable, well located and overall good value for money. Breakfast was uninspiring, but you get what you pay for. Older property and would recommend if you are trying to see SF on a budget.

Pros: 1) Close to everything. 2) Attractive lobby Cons: 1) They tell you there's WIFI. There definitely is not. They tell every guest "there must be something wrong with your device", yet 50 people are experience the same issue. I do not appreciate a bait and switch routine with WIFI. Don't mislead customers. 2) Dated in-room furnishings 3) Dirty bathroom... More
