Lovely hotel, full of charm. Room was huge with two double beds and a kitchenette. Very clean and well kept. Loved the wine and cheese tasting every afternoon at 5pm. There was a little bit of street noise but the hotel couldn't help that. Would recommend to family and friends.

We had the BEST time at the Beresford Arms. It is truly a San Francisco treasure! Not only is everything clean and authentic, but the afternoon wine and cheese are complementary. It was fun to sit in the "front room" with other guests, visit and hear about their day. The morning coffee and breakfast was equally as inviting and a... More

The Beresford Arms is a charming hotel with an excellent location on the edge of Tenderloin district and just a few blocks from Union Square. Stepping into the hotel lobby feels like you've been transported back in time and into a fancy ballroom. We booked a junior suite for 4 people but were upgraded to a queen suite. It turns... More

we stayed at the Beresford arms while touring America and what lovely old world charm we stepped into. The hotel is full of interesting paintings and furniture all making you think you have stepped back in time. The room was large the beds were comfy although the pillows were a little hard, the old heater worked beautifully and the shower was hot and... We (2 if us) got a last minute reservation for 2 nights at a very reasonable price. We had a suite of 2 large rooms, clean and nicely decorated and a giant bathroom, clean well maintained and plenty of hot water. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we return to SF.

I recently returned from four nights at the Beresford Arms - Tuesday through Friday. I traveled alone and had a double room. I arrived around 10am and was delighted that a room was available and I didn't just have to just leave my suitcase there for the day. I had room 812, the top floor at the back and it... More

The room was clean and there was a nic touch by having a wine and cheese hour. However this hotel has seen better days and seems very dated (I know it is a heritage building), Possibly just not the right hotel for us although the bed was comfy and we got a good sleep just didnt really have a good... If you are looking for a well located, budget hotel that is well kept this place is ideal. It has a traditional feel, everything is clean and well-looked after and the bathrooms are great. Certainly some of the fittings are a little dated, this is not a luxury boutique place. But my room was huge and the price was really... More

I just came back from spending a whole week in the Beresford Arms so I've got a fairly good idea of what it means to sleep there at any day of the week. First and foremost the location is superb. 5 minutes walking to Union Square and 8 minutes to Powell BART station but without the noise that many hotels... More

I was greeted as soon as I walked into the lobby, and was literally checked in and on the way to my room in under two minutes. All the staff that I dealt with were very courteous and professional. The room was old but comfortable, the bed was fine, and there were new fixtures in the bathroom. Well worth the... More
