Three of us (2 sisters & an aunt) , all 'seniors' had a wonderful 3 nights at the Berresford Arms Hotel. It was a repeat visit, after 2 years, & being satisfied at that time (though my aunt thought there was some kitchen noise she could hear then). This time, there was a bit of street noise during the night,... More

I used to love the Beresford Arms. It used to be my favorite little gem in the city, with its full kitchens and evening wine. But my last experience was so deplorable that I can do nothing but strongly recommend that you stay any ANYWHERE ELSE in the city. Here's what happened: I arrived at the hotel in the early... More

This hotel is friendly, good situated to explore the beautiful city San Francisco. bathrooms are very nice, with a shower with foot wirlpool where you can sit in, two shower heads, clean, old fashion. Lot of hotels in America, there is no breakfast, but they served croissants, coffee, tea, muffins and fruit. In the afternoon there is free wine with... More

I have stayed here four times, which is evidence enough that I like it. The junior suite I had this time was lovely and spacious with a real kitchenette. I love the lobby, which reflects old-time elegance, just a bit worn. The morning breakfast in the lobby--good pastries, fresh fruit and coffee--is just fine for a quick start. The front... More

Our room was outstanding. Large rooms, large central room with a Murphy bed, full kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, massive bathroom with a bidet, and multiple window beds for sitting and relaxing. We stayed for one night during a race weekend, and the staff accommodated the extra people during the cocktail hours with class.

This is a great hotel if you like old world charm without the modern facilities most other high end hotels have. The architecture Is Edwardian, the decor is very much early 20th century And the bathroom fittings are very impressive with brass fixtures through out the huge bathrooms. I stayed in a junior suite for two nights and although the... More

We stayed at the Beresford Arms for 5 nights in Oct 2014. The place is what I would call vintage, not our style at all, so we didnt really enjoy it. But it was clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. Union square has a lot of homeless people around which made us feel really unsafe so we wouldnt... More

Loved this hotel. Had a junior suite which had a small kitchenette and a fabulous spa bathroom. We had a renovated room with two queen sized beds and it was extremely spatious. The lobby ad front desk seemed a bit shappy so I asked to see the room. As mentioned earlier I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was.... More

This is what is known as a heritage hotel. However, it is clean (no bedbugs) and the service very friendly. We only stayed for one night, but the staff was very accommodating and the room had some nice amenities. We arrived too late for the wine and cheese happy hour but the morning brunch was very nice in the front... More

Pros: -The room was spacious. We were given two queen size bed. Good for family though. However, we don't mind. - Breakfast provided was just croissants, fruits, coffee and tea. But it was good enough for us. - Location was excellent, just minutes walk to Union Square. And there are buses around the location to catch to various attractions. -... More
