We were on our 7 year anniversary trip, so we splurged for the $700 a night King Deluxe Suite that boasted a large room with a jacuzzi tub. The pros were definitely the large space, quiet, comfortable bed and LOVED the jacuzzi! However, for that cost, I expected much more. The location - although wonderfully close to some great shopping... More

We were initially allocated a room right by the bar, which was noisy, had no view and was very small. Reception staff were most helpful and although We couldn't move that night, our luggage was transferred to a lovely room while we were out the following day. All staff were consistently polite, pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel... More

I am an Inner Circle Member for Kimpton and stayed here for 6 nights. As such, I was upgraded to a large room on the 7th floor Executive King overlooking Market Street. It was a well-appointed, quiet, comfortable, and spotlessly clean room. My Inner Circle amenity was fairly pedestrian and the staff did not really pay attention to my request.... More

Nice hotel. Good location. Right off of market street. You have to deal with homeless people, though.., Rooms are nice. Lobby is very small. They do not have a business center - they directed us to a kinkos. We stayed on the 9th floor. There were no issues with noise. The service was questionable. Everyone was very nice, but it... More

Room was very quiet and we'll appointed. Size not huge but reasonable for location. Entry into lobby is a bit utilitarian but bar, morning coffee area is the typical Kimpton tastefully done. Used valet and cost is normal compared to other area hotels. Would stay again.

I arrived at the hotel palomar and since there was no valet stand (it's a small hotel) I called and they were very prompt at assisting me. I went to check in. The lobby is very small but really nice. I waited to be assisted because I arrived at a busy check in time, which wasn't a problem. When it... More

Despite my misgivings regarding the 5th floor, our room has been without noise from their bar, Dirty Habit. So, I think as long as you are given a room away from the bar's patio, the 5th floor is fine. We are overlooking Market Street and San Francisco's Big Dig, which will be the city's subway's new Central Line. The boring... More

Nice hotel - or so we thought. Agree with previous reviewer with regard to the homeless element but this can't be helped as it is not the hotels fault. It was a little scary however and the smell of urine on the streets surrounding the hotel was awful. The noise on 5th floor is horrendous we were right by the... More

I am currently staying at room 534 on 5th floor next to a bar. it has been so noisy (music, laughing, talking, etc) and I cannot sleep. A manager said she did not expect the noise (she is a very nice person, though). However, given that this is Thursday night, I cannot believe she did not expect it. I will... More

I am so sorry about the noise issue you had while staying with us. We are proud of our new restaurant, yet of course our goal was to please all of our guests, not to cause an inconvenience by the noise. I will work with the team and try to come up with some solutions to minimize any noise intrusion... More
