It’s difficult to rate business hotels when one travels on business. Hotel Nikko is no exception. If the experience was pretty much what is expected for a downtown business hotel, does that warrant a 3-star “average” rating or a 4-start “very good” rating? The staff was kind and accommodating. That was nice. But is that simply expected at some level... More

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location. The staff was very friendly and helpful for this first timer. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Restaurant and lounge offered a variety of foods and drinks at reasonable prices. Would stay here again.

The hotel was recommended by friends. You can't beat the location. Check-in: I did an internet check-in to save time, but still had to wait in line. GSA was polite. Room: Upgraded to a King. They put me on a low floor, not much of a view. Try for a higher floor if you can. Bathroom: HUGE, shower and tub,... More

I live in Vancouver BC and am a regular visitor of San Francisco. I have stayed at many of the hotels in the Union Square area. I was not familiar with the Hotel Nikko when I booked it (I was attending a professional conference in the city) and was very pleasantly surprised at how nice, clean and quiet it was.... More

My partner and I have had 2 week-long stays at the Niko. It has a classy design, great location and a pricey but very nice restaurant in the hotel. The staff is always friendly and helpful. During our last stay we had a lot of difficulty getting housekeeping to clean our room, very odd. When they did come it would... More

The Hotel Nikko was all that I expected, and more. Great rooms (Nikko Floor), wonderful staff - at front desk and concierge, as well as the restaurant. Clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Ate breakfasts and dinners in their restaurant. Great food and good value. Definitely will stay here the next time we are in town.

This was my 4th visit to San Francisco. Hotel Nikko was the best hotel I have stayed in. The room kept very clean each day. The beds were very comfortable. I loved the room layout (e.g. glassed enclosed shower, separate bathtub, separate toilet from general bathroom, etc). At check-in I was offered an upgrade but refused. Can't imagine what the... This is one of my favorite hotels in SF. The staff is always amazing, from the valet through housekeeping. The rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent for shopping, dining, or catching a Giants game.

my favourite hotel in SF for business travel. The service is always friendly without being "pompous". Room facilities are exactly at the level one "normal" business traveller needs. No extra frills, not too much personnel , which is probably what allows them to keep prices quire reasonable compared with the quality.
