Looks like a hotel that had its peak in the 80's. Location is good. The mini queen bed is terrible for 2 people. Expect a sleepless night. The staff are nice. The hotel is very clean. The remodeled rooms are tastefully done. For the price, I'd pick the Kimpton next time. The parking is too expensive, so we used a public... More

The hotel is centrally located so you can experience great dining, cable cars, shopping and theatre all within walking distance. If your visit includes the second Saturday in December, SantaCon is usually going on so you get to see not only SF establishments decorated for the holidays, but also hundreds of people decorating the streets with their Santa garb as... The service--the fastest rooms service I have ever encountered!--the staff--the location--the food. Terrific place. Only one restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner but terrific food and variety. The staff were mostly Japanese. So sweet and helpful and all the bowing was lovely. Only one slightly rude/bad behavior from a waitstaff--but he was American. We 4 had to charge our... More

We enjoyed the beauty and service of the Nikko during our first stay in San Francisco. The concierge was so helpful. Checking out early to take a tour, we checked our bags for the day. I soon realized on the tour I was missing 3 credit cards from my wallet. I guessed that most likely they had fallen from my... More

Stayed for two nights with my husband and 8 yo son. Godnlocaroon just off union square. We got an imperial club room on booking.com for a good price. The hotel is not new and not particularly luxurious in any way but everything works well. The room was spacious and the shower and bathtub very clean. The service was timely and... More

We've stayed at this property several times and have never been disappointed. The location of the hotel is convenient to Union Square and within walking distance to just about anything you need. If you're going to be in San Francisco this is an excellent hotel top to bottom in every respect.

First the pluses: A good location in downtown San Francisco, friendly and helpful staff, and many nearby dining options. Also, the elevator service is fast and frequent, something you don't always get at high rise hotels. The rest of the story: The place bills itself as a luxury hotel, but I couldn't really see any difference between this and what... More

We stayed 4 nights here and we like this hotel for its location and convenience for Walgreen and food. This a beautiful hotel and makes it luxurious looking. We stayed at a club floor with lounge and health facilities however we were little disappointed that the club service only opens for breakfast 6 am till 10 am and a wine... More

I recently stayed at the Nikko while on a work trip and was booked in what was called a Petite Queen. I assumed that the Petite referred to the bed size. No. That referred to the room size! Petite means that the room is very very small. Unbelievably small. Almost closet like - But it was clean and bell service... More

We stayed there for 11 nights. I would rate this hotel "very good," but for several unpleasant things that happened. The room was quite comfortable, the beds high and firm (the way my wife and I like them), the concierge quite helpful, the pool very pleasant, and the in-room food, from breakfast to pizza, surprisingly good. But: 1. I have... More
