Don't overlook the Hotel Nikko when shopping for a fine stay at an excellent price in downtown SF. The rooms are unusually large and beautifully decorated. Surprising is the size of the bathroom, with large tub and separate walk-in shower. You will be a short walk to the BART station and Cable Car at Powell and Market, where you can... More

An oasis in the city with clean, crisp rooms. Parking fee of $50/ night is outrageous. The lobby was too cold to enjoy and had no service. Would have been nice to enjoy a cocktail and snack while relaxing. Convenient Starbucks in the building.

I've been to San Francisco numerous times over the past 20 years, but have never stayed at the Hotel Nikko. My earliest impression was that it was a bit austere compared to the traditional SF hotels I had been used to. However, after frantically searching for a last-minute deal for a hasty trip to the city I booked (through a... More

Good location near Union Square, solid modern fairly upscale hotel with pretty much what you'd expect to get for the money. But, when the room costs $279 I didn't expect to be hit up for $16 for Internet access and $47 for a very basic room service dinner seemed too expensive, too.

The room was nice, but this hotel has charges on everything else- wifi, using the pool or gym, even if you want to shuffle things around in the minibar fridge! Location is close to Union Square but you have to get a cab to anywhere else.

Great location, staff very friendly , the room very clean and the bed very comfortable . Higher floor is perfect . Lobby was extremely cold and no service bar or beverage . Parking is $50 a night , but that is normal charge in hotel parking in San fransisco.

Stayed here for three nights for a conference. "Checked In" via cell phone, but then a wait in line was still required. I'm not really sure the advance check in really saved any time. The desk clerk was very nice and helpful. She had a very positive attitude. The room was clean, neat, and relatively modern. It was, however, quite... More

Good hotel, very strategically located so everything is accessible on foot. Rooms were good too. We got one which was high up with a decent view - so that made it even more fun! Hotel restaurant doesn't have many options for vegetarian/vegan meal.

Location: perfect & flawless Rooms: we got room a nice room on the 10th floor but I don't recall having a nice view. But still it was very convenient Staff: more than friendly and accommodating Loved the fact they have Starbucks in the hotel I have a comment; beside all the good things I still felt the hotel is cold.....
