Ok for a short stay, but not a great value. "Deluxe" renovated room on 1st floor was tiny, very low ceiling, very small window, dark. Tiny shower, worst sheets in many years (nubby, rough, as were the towels.) nothing deluxe about it.i would not recommend it overall; better off spending a few bucks more for a higher quality hotel around... I enjoyed y stay tremendously at the King George. Ideal location!Close to restaurants and shopping. Two block from the cable car line. The bet art of the stay was that we got to ark our car for a reasonable price at the hotel.

Undergoing renovations. Small rooms, decided lack of hot water. Staff was professional and courteous. Location was excellent. NO on site parking. Be prepared to spend upwards of $40 a day to park at nearby structure.

My husband and I got a great deal of Expedia for this hotel. We thought it looked charming and we liked the central location near the cable cars. We went for a wedding and decided to make a trip out of it, we stayed for 6 nights total. As travelers we do not spend much time in our room, we... More

Having been unable to book a four or five star hotel at a reasonable rate in the Union Square area of San Francisco, I decided to search for one in the three star category. This is how I came upon the King George Hotel, which was built originally in 1914. I booked a "superior queen room" as I was traveling... More

My husband and I are split on this hotel. For me the location, price and the friendliness of staff outweigh the cons, seeing as we only stayed one night. However, my husband disagrees. The room was very small, which he found tolerable, but there was no air conditioning and the room got very hot, which he did not. There was... More

Me and my husband came here on the 16th of May and will stay until the 20th of May. This is a very lovely and comfortable Hotel very close to Union Square, major restaurants, coffee shops, and best stores. We're very happy to be just minutes walking of almost everything. We took the tram to go to Fisherman's Wharf, which... More

I chose this hotel because it was unique. I get sick of the chain hotels that have no individuality to them. I flew in from Boston, landing about 1:00pm PT. When I got to the hotel they bent over backwards to check me in early, and accommodate my request for a room in the back (less noisy). I was on... More

King George Hotel was so lovely! my friends and I had an amazing time in San Fran and it was all because of the friendly staff at King George. From the moment we arrived we were presented but nothing but excellent service from the front desk and continued until the day we left. The staff is so knowledgeable on all... More

Just back after staying 5 nights in this hotel. The room was lovely and the bathroom a good size with walk in shower. The rooms seemed to have been recently decorated and it was tastefully done with nice colour schemes in both the bedroom and bathroom. There was also a large walk in closet in the room which was great... More
