The hotel is in tenderloin area, not great for a family stay. The rooms are small but close to Union Square. A single stay would be a good idea at this place. The hotel has a bar and has a parking right across the road for 30USD /night. Lots of places to eat close by and cause to market street

This hotel is very clean and the beds comfortable. The staff are quite friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. It is close, about 2 blocks to Union Square. Luis was an awesome bartender and helped us order pizza from Uncle Vito's.(Thx, Luis). The rooms are small but I'm told that's big city living, space comes at a premium. I... More

After reading reviews we were pleasantly surprised! Our room was clean, spacious enough and comfortable. No real view to speak of but not needed when you are gone most of the day and night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The diner next door had good food for late night snacks. The location was perfect for getting around by foot... More

Lovely budget hotel, in a great location near Union Square where you can hop on tourist bus to do the tour or walk around the many large department stores. Hotel was clean and ample for a short break. Staff were very informative and helpful.

San Francisco is the most expensive city in the US and compared to how expensive the city is, this hotel is very reasonable in terms of price. Don't book this hotel expecting a 5 star quality but for the price you pay, I'd say it is a great hotel! We drove from LA to San Francisco and arrived a day... More

I gave this hotel 5 stars strictly because of how far they exceeded my expectations. My wife and I have stayed at several "victorian/boutique" hotels in the union square area of San Francisco and we have come to expect certain quirks when staying at these types of hotels. The King George pleasantly surprised us from the first moment we walked... More

We stayed here two nights a week before the 2016 Super Bowl. The place is conveniently located near several of City's popular spots (Union Square, China Town, Moscone Center, cable cars). The room we had was small but nicely furnished and had a very comfortable bed. There is a bar downstairs and numerous eating establishments within easy walking distance. The... More

The King George is modest in every respect...located among several diners and near a youth hostel but very close to Union Square and convenient to other business districts and tourist sites.. My room was very clean but very clean and comfortable though small and with a very tiny bathroom. This was a good spot to spend a couple of nights... More

This place is smack dab in the thick of everything. Amazing restaurants, shopping and all there is to do in San Francisco. Very affordable for the room for what you get. The staff is great and very attentive. Definitely will go back.

Just my luck but my usual SF hotels were not available for this two night visit with my 20 year old Granddaughter. First, the Positives - the Hotel is not too far from Union Square. The building itself is old but maintained and nicely painted in an Irish green. The lobby was nice and the receptionists (all the staff we... More

Dear Lessalt, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. Although overall you had a pleasant stay, I am sad to hear that you did not have an exceptional experience due to the "enthusiastic" crowd from Union Square and radiator noise. We do hope that you can give us a second chance and reconsider King... More
