I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights to attend a conference. The atmosphere in the hotel was nice and cozy. This is not a dime a dozen hotel. The rooms were small but clean. The WIFI work ok for me in the room. The location is good; there are plenty of restaurants close to the hotel and the area... More

The hotel was very small with no ventilation in the room other than an open window- not only was there no air conditioning, but there was no vent in the bathroom. The room was small with twin beds and faced a cement wall so that it stayed very dark all day. It was centrally located which was good, but that... More

Very cozy, nice hotel in the heart of San Francisco. Perfect for us because we were first-timers and didn't really know where we wanted to go. Easy to walk to fun places and get lyfts to other locations. Bartender was awesome and gave us a bunch of great recommendations the first night too!

Good value and location. Friendly staff--bartender and concierge very helpful; desk not so much. There is, however, ongoing construction. Rooms are small, do not have air conditioning, but the windows (sans screens) do open. We had a good time but may have been lucky?

My partner and I arrived at the hotel and from the lobby we had high hopes. The reception staff were not too helpful luckily I had been to San Francisco before and had a map as the interest from the staff was less than zero, apart from one guy whose name unfortnautely I didn't note. The room as not great,... More

The KingGeorge Hotel is quaint and quirky, close to BART and Union Square. The receptionists take a bit of getting used to, ask them for the discount vouchers for the diners either side of the hotel. Overall it's a hotel that does what it says on the tin!

This hotel should be a one star hotel and not three star. Very run down rooms smell of dampness and most staff don't speak good English. Very drab although has been a nice hotel in its day. Staff not vet helpful. Asked for a tea at reception and was told there is none. Not a great start to our holiday

Stayed for 5 nights had to switch rooms due to construction starting at 7:30 am on the floor above. When making first request to move or have the construction stop at least until 9am there was no response from the front desk. Second morning of the stay had to tell the front desk that I would be more than happy... More

We stayed in a dozen hotels on our trip to the US and this was the only hotel that left us feeling disappointed. The staff were polite but compared to the customer service elsewhere in America it doesn't compare. Trying to get information from staff about the area and things to do, see etc was a slow process with no... More

Lovely old hotel in a nice location, close to shopping and public transportion. But the rooms are quite small. The room was clean, the bed sheets were a little rough. The bathroom was extremly small, with a deep tub. The tub could only entered by stepping over the corner on the tub because the sink and the toilet were so close... More
