Perfectly located near Union Square. Not super Fancy but clean. No A/C but you have the ventilator and the nice SF wind. People are really nice and accommodated us with a portable bed for free. The hotel is really old but they are keeping it really clean so it's not annoying,

Been here more than once and absolutely love it. Small room, quaint hostel feel hotel. Great location. Decent breakfast. In the middle of everything. Trying to book again right now! Cannot wait to return! Go if you can handle a sleeping spot and shower!

The location was great but the hotelroom was not, first of all our room was on the top floor which was quite annoying since the elevator took forever to come. our room was small and the first thing I noticed was the sink next to our bed (and there was no sink in the bathroom), our windowiev was basically our... Very nice, clean, friendly hotel. In a busy area, lots of street noise, but, friendly helpful staff. Thanks Jack! You are a superstar. So helpful, and professional, along with the day desk staff. No business center but, the front desk staff will print your boarding passes!

The Stratford is a no-frills hotel at about as good a price as you'll find in downtown SF. Do factor in the price of parking though, which at the underground lot accross the street is around $30 a night. The room was clean and the bathroom was well equipped and had excellent natural light. The street outside is loud with... More

Hey Luke, you are correct we do not offer parking. Parking in San Francisco is very expensive and even the hotels that have parking, it is more than $40 a night. I do not know about $15 parking but we recommend safe parking garages with security and trustworthiness. Any more info you can give me on this unhappy employee would... More

Brilliant location. Small room and bathroom but sufficient. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Very convenient to shops, Macy's around the corner which has a Cheesecake Factory. Hop On Hop Off bus around corner as well.

We stayed at the stratford for 3 nights. Although the hotel is older and the rooms are a bit small, (pretty standard for San Fran, unless you're paying big bucks) we found it to be a great budget hotel. The location is half a block to union square and it is a short walk to catch the f line cable... More

We stayed four days through July 2, 2015. The hotel staff was accommodating and helpful and gave us our requested room at the back of the hotel, 2nd floor (to avoid the street noise and use of slow elevator. Thanks for the room tips!). First night, we had a problem with the ceiling fan and phone and hotel personnel was... More
