While the hotel is centrally located, the room is small and does not have an aircon. There is only a ceiling fan and there is not much of ventilation even when you open the windows. Breakfast is pretty pathetic too.

There are many better options in the same price range. Yes, all SF value rooms are some, but this was like a tenement apartment. Dingy, safe but scary looking room. Nothing outside of the lobby has been refurbished in 30 years. Hotel staff was cold at best.

The elevator is really slow and there is only one in the building. Breakfast does the job.... bare minimum: coffee and tea, toast, cereal with milk. They do make an effort in changing the fruit they serve every morning. Rooms are very clean, although I would prefer if the staff respected their environmental policy and did not change towels every... More

5 minute walk from the BART. On the cable car route (stop is right outside front door). 2 minutes from a Walgreens so self catering was easy (we were on a budget of sorts). It's on Union Square. Sure the rooms are small, but if your going to this town to hang out in your hotel room your missing the... More

While attending a conference in San Francisco, I stayed for a week at Stratford hotel. The location is great and very central; just few steps from Union square. It was also less than 15 minutes walk to the convention center, so I did not have to use the conference shuttle every day. The room was good, but breakfast was below... More

As the reviews have all said, the rooms are small. Yes. But they are clean and have shower, toilet and washing space. Toiletries and towels are also included. You get a continental breakfast buffet with coffee, choice of teas and juices. We requested a room with a large bed, top of the building facing away from the Main Street. We... More

The hotel is not a great thing, but you have a bed and a bathroom. In my case the sink was close to my bed. It includes breakfast, which is great. It is located within a walking distance from every attraction in the city,

Overall, a good stay for 2 nights. Location was great. Room was ok and had all we needed as just wanted a comfy bed and a shower. Breakfast was ok as well, just enough to get you going in the morning. Staff on the front desk were great.

Nice to have free basic breakfast in the morning. But room was unbearable!! Window facing wall, the smallest hotel room I had ever seen! No aircon and bed sheets were stained too!! Had to cancel and move to another hotel on second day! No lobby!! Luckily Hotels.com refunded the money!!
