We were pleasantly surprised to find the room (506) was quiet, clean, "newish" furnishings, large closet and bath with interesting tile, firm mattress with NO bedbugs (we checked), and although we were next to the elevator, we could not hear it in our room. Paper thin walls, basic bathrooms, often an indistinguishable smell permeating the corridors and sometimes a rather more distinctive aroma if you get my drift. Nice big bed, plenty of hot water, decent maid service. If you can take the heat of the Tenderloin then this hotel will do just fine. More
