We were glad we booked this hotel, as it seemed to be one of the best in the area in this price range. Very affordable, yet clean and safe. Although in the old building, the room was nice and in good condition. Good size beds, nice old furniture, great lighting in the bathroom. The were a few downsides, which however... More

We booked through a travel agent as one of many stays across our USA trip. All were good except this one. Negatives: Arrived and checked in only to be sent away to motel 2 blocks away due to rooms that had apparently flooded. Staff member was matter of fact, not apologetic, and told us it was only 2 blocks!!! Walk... More

This is a nice Hotel, located in the middle of downtown SF. The place a older so it doesn't have A/C but it doesn't usually get hot enough that you can't open a window & get a little city breeze in. There is an amazing French Soul Food place on the same street that is delicious for any meal you... More

In downtown San Francisco, with plenty restaurants and shops within walking distance. Itțs an older building, with older, art deco era furniture. I donțt consider that as a negative thing...we liked it. Itțs reminescent of an era. Maybe a little bit heavier smell because of the old uilding, older furniture, many years of use, but it doesnțt steal any of... More

If you're looking for a nice place to stay to explore the city and not break the bank, this is a great hotel. Stayed two nights on our honeymoon. Nice, charming, historic hotel. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on a nice place to stay when we'd be out and about exploring the city. The area is... More

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location in terms of reaching all interest spots in a adequate amount of time. The area around is not so nice especially at night. The rooms are small, ugly, old and loud. Sometimes it also smells bad.

Great staff, they were extremely helpful with me. Nice Art Deco Building so not so modern but clean. It's a central location, I saw a couple of homeless around but it's very close to everything and to an amazing soul food restaurant - Brenda' s.

Stayed for three nights. Room was very basic, run down decor and noisy floors throughout, and staff were generally unhelpful. The area was very unsafe with many homeless, prostitutes & junkies around. Would not walk alone at night and Do NOT walk down Turk St even during the day. Website clearly out dated as does not offer breakfast as advertised... More
