In short: This hotel isn't nearly as bad as some of these reviews make it seem. Next to the upper-end hotels in SF it doesn't compare, but I've stayed at far worse hotels and had a quiet, comfortable stay. I needed to find a room quickly during a visit for work when a mistake meant I was booted out of... More

Was'nt the best but if you have a full schedule in Frisco then staying here is'nt that big of a deal.We spent most of our time seeing what San Fran had to offer and were always too tired to care about all the faults of this hotel. Kind of a place for some shut eye. As long as you get... More

This is in a bad neighborhood. So bad that the taxis don't really drive down the street, so you need to hike up to a busier street to find one. There seemed to be one guy working at the whole hotel, so often there was nobody at the front desk, otherwise we would have had them call for a cab.... More

I booked via "bookings.mapquest.com" ...2.5 stars: AT THE EDGE OF SKID ROW AREA. STAFF IS NICE BUT INEFFICIENT. Lobby and guest rooms are a nice, art deco. Desk clerk took 45 min to get us to a room though we had paperwork/reservation. Also failed to send us to the no-cost parking lot, even though we'd asked. Mold on wall [which... More

There was a rat in our garbage can last night. A rat. When I called the front desk they told me their was nothing they can do about it because, "I could catch the rat just as well as they can." Not only does this place have rats, but when the rats get into your room you're expected to chase... More

This place was horrible. We went for a weekend getaway. There was one person working the whole hotel. There was no manager on duty. We had several issues with our room. We had to trade rooms 3 times. One of the rooms the whole floor was soaking wet. The other room was a one bedroom and not what we paid... More

My work colleague and I booked this place for a very large conference in town. All other nearby hotels (biz class hotels) were all booked up, and this place wasn't too far away. The hotel itself is not that too bad. It certainly not really a biz class hotel, but it just OK. The place is very retro, from the... More

It was our first time in San Francisco, this hotel was just a lucky shot. Hotel is in close distance to all sightseeing objects (walking about 30 min), bus stop is 2 min away. Rooms are clean, housekeepers are friendly and helpful. Hotel is kind a cheap, provide breakfast even though continental breakfast is not the best meal. And also... More
