Nothing great. The nicest thing about the hotel is the neighborhood. Room is rather small and in need of being renovated, but it is clean. Like many San Francisco hotels, it is way overpriced. Wifi can handle email and basic web surfing as long as you're not in a hurry. The breakfast is a joke but there's a couple breakfast... More

Well Super 8 as you might know is a budget hotel, for expensive places like SF i think fits the purpose. They have a small breakfast like every super 8 its just complimentary and its like to take away and eat at your room , the location its a must very in the fisherman's wharf walking distance ( if you... Marina district is nice with lots of local places to eat on Chestnut St. A little far from Fishermans Wharf to walk but a quick Uber or Flywheel trip. Room, nice and clean, bed average. Would stay here again because the price with tax for San Francisco was not too bad. Small breakfast area, went tot the coffee roasters around... More

Got to motel to find parking area full, except for compact cars. The owner allowed me to use their hotel drop off zone for the night. He also offered to let me move my truck to their parking area and take a cab to the pier the next day, even though I wasn't staying a second night there.

We arrived early in the afternoon and our room was not quite ready. The receptionist was kind enough to let us use another room for the bathroom. They also gave us some helpful tips and were great to deal with. The rooms although small were very clean and tidy. Good wifi. Parking is tight, but it's tough all around, so... More

We stayed at this hotel twice because it offers a free breakfast, free parking. For downtown San Francisco, is a good deal. Comfy beds, rooms are nothing special however ok for somebody that is not fussy. We are not, so we were happy. Staff was always nice to us.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
