The Adante is cheap by Union Square area standards and so we forgive some of its shortcomings. We had a comfortable bed and a clean room in a clean smelling hotel and 'breakfast' is the smallest dining space I have ever seen 40 or so strangers try to inhabit. Easy walk to Union Square and parking garage next door charged... More

we got a 2-double bed and the room was so small we had to go around each other for us to get from one place to another. they have hot shower but the water is so weak. the pictures are misleading, as the walls and carpet are dingy. we actually were woken up by the loud people in the other... More

I walked into the lobby just to check the price of the hotel but was greeted by a multitude of staff who were willing to convince me to stay. I wasn't overwhelmed but greeted and respectfully given a warm welcomet. I asked for a good rate and was quoted about what I told I could afford. Still on the fence;... More

We got this place for a great price, and it was right where we wanted to be. (We got to ice-skate at Union Square, just a few blocks away! Also, Bourbon & Branch was one block away... great craft cocktails.) They had redone the bedding and the bathroom, which made it feel very clean and tidy. The only thing that... More

The hotel is quite adequate and the rooms have been recently redone. Free safe, fridge, iron, hair dryer, good Wi-Fi, operable window and good television. Adequate towels adds amenities and lighting. I did not hear any of the other rooms. The two queen beds were soft and comfortable. Not too many outlets but sufficed. Water temperature was good but pressure... More

The check in experience was pleasant and the $100 charge for incidentals was clearly explained. The desk agent made several dining suggestions and also warned me which parts of town to stay away from. The building is definitely historic (translate: smaller rooms, intriguing hallway- reminded me of the set from the original "Shining" but that was part of the charm,... More

I made a last minute booking for this hotel as I had booked a hostel & needed to escape from there. I arrived around midday & a room was available so they let me check in early. The lobby looks great but there were a dozen flies hovering around most of the time I was there. Once you get in... More

The photo for the reception area is accurate but expect a small broken door for entrance and very run down hallways and lift. The room was ok, definitely not fancy. The hotel was relatively cheap for the area so all the shabby-ness is fair enough in our view. It's fine if you are looking for somewhere cheap and convenient for... More

The Adante is an old building that was undergoing some refurbishments during our overnight stay (Sep 30, 2014). Fortunately the noise level did not reach our floor (6th) therefore it was not bothersome in the least. The Adante is barely a 3-star hotel. However, we got a clean room, albeit very small, and a clean bathroom for less than $200... More

We only booked this hotel because it was such a last minute trip and there was next to nothing else left to book - but since we were paying $500/night for a room we thought we would at least be getting one of the "better rooms" on offer, which apparently have 2 bedside tables (ours only had one). We were... More
