The Adante is an old building that was undergoing some refurbishments during our overnight stay (Sep 30, 2014). Fortunately the noise level did not reach our floor (6th) therefore it was not bothersome in the least. The Adante is barely a 3-star hotel. However, we got a clean room, albeit very small, and a clean bathroom for less than $200... More

We only booked this hotel because it was such a last minute trip and there was next to nothing else left to book - but since we were paying $500/night for a room we thought we would at least be getting one of the "better rooms" on offer, which apparently have 2 bedside tables (ours only had one). We were... More

This hotel is POOR VALUE - overpriced. A large bed in room, but little room for luggage, particularly if a couple. Had trouble with TV even. VERY tiny bathroom. Work being done on hotel (needs it). The breakfast was VERY basic and in temporary area too). The hotel we have stayed at previously is much better value (although last room... More

The hotel is very old/shabby inside. The "free" breakfast is the most basic possible; you can fill your stomach with it. The furnature in the breakfast room was probably found along the street somewhere. A positive point is that the people are very nice and helpful. It is also positioned quite central.

We stayed at this hotel the first time in 2011, it is affordable, even the rooms are small. It was clean and since then, we always stay here when we want it get away for the weekend. It's and older hotel and the last time we where there in July, the building was under construction. That did not disturb us... More

This hotel is under construction and in very poor condition. Entry was cluttered with boxes and plastic tarps hanging from the ceiling. First thing the front desk told me is they require a $100 damage deposit. Not only have I never been asked for a damage deposit, but I was shocked as the place was a dive. Used the dead... More

Unfair and unprofessional staff. They do not even speak english. I left my jacket accidentally in the armchair the day I checked out, so I called the reception to ask how I could take it back; well, they told me to have found it so they asked for my address in the first place, but two days later they emailed... We booked a roundtrip through west USA, starting in San Francisco. As the hotel, normally used by the TO was fully booked, we had to stay in this awfull hotel. The ground floor was under construction, so the reception was hidden between plastic walls. The temporary breakfast room was nothing more than a 2persons room where about 40 persons had... More

Because of a medical emergency at the birth of our first grandson, we arranged to spend our time in San Francisco to be near him (UCSF Children's Hopital). The hotel was clean, comfortable and everything we could have wanted. Near the hotel were great places for dining and after dinner drinks. The staff was wonderful--helpful and friendly.

We arrived at around 10 in the evening. There was only one staff on the reception counter and she is anything but friendly. She looks sleepy and doesn't seem to be in the mood to entertain us. When she was talking to us, it felt like she was in a hurry to get the job done. The place was old... More
