The service was great. The only observation I would like to make is that the female manager, unfortunately I forget her name, has a very serious personality. I don't mean this as a complaint, she was very helpful and very accommodating. I just think it would be more beneficial for her if she smiled a little more. Overall my experience... More

Good value in the downtown area. Room was clean, firm beds. Neighborhood was OK. The hotel is dated a bit, like the old TV. The room was very large (2 queens). They have free parking (limited). 5 minute walk to the main bus lines. Breakfast on the lean side; cereal, bread and hard boiled eggs, tiny breakfast room. We skipped... More

I stayed in the hotel for 4 days and my experience was quite good. Breakfast provided was satisfying. Rooms were clean and well maintained, staff was very cooperative and helpful. Overall its a value for money hotel.

Perfect hotel for those looking for something inexpensive, convenient location in SF without all the hustle and bustle of downtown Market st. This is the place to stay at. Room was clean and smelled welcoming upon opening the door. If you're the type that needs room service and doorman catering your every move, then this isn't the place for you.... More

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighborhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
