Good hotel with great qualities. The one bed queen room was a little small but nice. There was a lot of noise you can hear from outside and people in the hallway. Besides that it was a good stay. Nice little gym and the service was great!

I wish they would offer tea as an option in their rooms for non-coffee drinkers :(. Nice hotel, although being on top of Nob Hill, it was less convenient to make trips to nearby shops for tea etc. Great exercise going up and down the hill though, and excellent views from atop!

I have recently stayed here on a short stop over in San Francisco. The good thing about the hotel was the staff who were all very helpful and friendly. That's it. The rooms were average and I did have to call housekeeping to re-clean my bathroom and it was all looking a tad shabby. I do not know who chose... More

This is the second time I stayed at the Stanford Court. The hotel is clean, comfortable and reasonable. However my experience this time at the front desk was terrible. The front desk staff was rude, disrespectful, and uncaring. They are a poor representation of the hotel.

If you like mega hotels, bad food, horrible service, ungainly location, do NOT stay here! This is a small, tasteful, quiet hotel, about two blocks from Grace Cathedral. Staff bent over backward to greet us and we got upgraded to a huge suite with a view of the Bay Bridge. Just for being there. Hip, cool, friendly staff and peer... More

Thanks to the Stanford Court Staff, coming from a stressful experience, I was able to relax and enjoy the rest of my stay in San Francisco. I attended the RSA conference and all hotels were sold out and they followed up with me to make sure I was ok. I will always come back to the Stanford Court!

The proximity of this hotel to so many other San Francisco attractions is what really lured us in and subsequently made the experience so wonderful. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, trendy, and full of great service, but the location is what seals the deal.

The Stanford Court is a top-notch hotel. It's location is perfect. It's beautiful on the outside and inside. Very hip. Very clean. Super friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a Premier room with a view and it was worth every penny!

If you're thinking of staying on Nob Hill in San Fransisco, which you should do because of it's proximity to everything, then the Stanford Court is the place to stay. Oh I know there are bigger and fancier places at the very top of the hill but this hotel has everything, including a court yard to arrive into. The angle... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
