The Red Victorian Bed & Breakfast of Haight Asbury The story of a No Go Treatment Center turned Communal No Respect Inn Say Hey, Say Blow, this is where the long term junkie goes to watch their Hair fall out & act like Peace Done The Wrong Way on a No Way Street, has nothing to do with how the... more

I stayed in the 'poster room' with my two girl friends at the end of September 2008. Id read up on what to expect, and was excited. We arrived late at night, but were met by our friend who was already staying there. We got our keys, and dragged our cases up to the first floor as there isnt a... more

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is situated in a bad area which is full of hippies , drunks and druggies at night. The streets are quite filthy as a result. During the day they all move to the nearby park (Golden Gate) and gather in large groups. The hotel is quaint and it was fairly... more

The Inn is definitely an interesting place. Glad I stayed there, but not likely to return. Rooms are dusty, run down, and not properly maintained. There was mildew over all of the walls, moreso in the bathroom. Staff was very nice and helpful though. Neighborhood has many street kids, which though a nuisance, do not seem a threat. more

We were looking forward to our stay in this funky B&B, thinking it would be a quirky yet charming place with a blast from the past. Unfortunately the place seems to suffer from a lack of attention to basic hygiene and maintenance. We stayed in the rainbow room which was not what we booked but the "only room available". It... more

This place is simple and basic and it's 60s decor was last updated in the 60s. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is right in the heart of SF's Haight-Ashbury district--which means you also get to experience that real city experience (e.g. if you're alone, I wouldn't wander around there aimlessly or drunk esp. at night). This... more

My husband and I were very excited to stay here, hoping for a unique, memorable SF experience. It turned out to be a nightmare. We were just getting ready to go to sleep on our first night, when I noticed a bedbug crawling on the blanket. I threw back the covers, and I saw probably half a dozen adult and... more

I think if you go with the right attitude you can have a lot of fun here. It is very quirky with themed rooms and lots of character a very refreshing change from the faceless corporate Hotels you can often get. I enjoyed the breakfast talks etc and the pricing seems very fair to me. more

This hotel is the absolute worst. Although the rooms are, on the surface, indeed "themed," the service is rude and inarticulate. The conning head mistress and her servants push for self-indulging donations during our hour long misery session on that eerie Sunday, the last night of my stay. I was in Gig's room, the room with a severely out-dated motif... more
