The place is clean, cute and affordable for San Francisco. I think it is still a little bit on the expensive side considering you don't get a bathroom on your room (but then again, San Francisco). The location is good but not excellent. The good part: lots of reasonably priced restaurants, one block from the BART! The bad thing: this... More

The staff was very very friendly! Amazing cooperation. Really sweet. The property is well located. Some homeless people in the area but no one bothers you. The rooms are big enough and the beds are comfortable. Very enjoyable stay. Bathrooms are always clean and the utilities are top notch. I could go on and on!

Place is beautifully decorated, people are incredibly helpful and friendly, breakfast is amazing, shared bathrooms are brand-new, always obsessively clean and always available, location is great as far as restaurants, nightlife and public transport are concerned. Location might also be its only con, since close proximity to the 16th St BART station means the hotel block is full of homeless... More

Very friendly service, the front desk staff showed us our room, the bathrooms, and area. They were helpful in recommending parking, travel routes, and points of interest. VERY CLEAN! Newly renovated and very comfortable beds! Breakfast coffee, fruit, muffins, large variety of tea available, Don't be turned off by the shared bathrooms, they extremely clean and well maintained, even during... More

I stayed at hotel mirabelle whilst working in a health clinic nearby for just under 2 weeks. Everyone I met at this hotel was super friendly and keen to help with anything I needed. I stayed in room 306 (mirabelle) and loved the quirky decor. Fridge, microwave etc was useful and bed very comfy - great pillows! I am paranoid... More

I would LOVE to give this place a huge thumbs up, but I have to agree with an earlier message and warn people that I got bitten by bedbugs at this hostel :( I loved the staff, loved my room (which had plenty of character), I met friendly people there out in the courtyard and I enjoyed my stay. The... More

I stayed four nights at the Hotel Mirabelle. The stay was very pleasant. The rooms are small, but full of personality. Do not have a bathroom in the room, but the shared bathrooms and showers are always clean. The breakfast is outstanding. Rich and varied. The staff is helpful and very courteous. The area is perfect for any movement in... More

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights. I woke up with itchy red painful bedbug bites. I requested for a room change, and was introduced to a different room. I investigated the new room this time. I took off the sheet from the mattress, and lift the mattress, and found black spills along with the mattress seams.... More

The place has great character, it doesn't look like much from the outside but the Victorian interior is very charming and our room was really nicely furnished. The patio is lovely and must be great in the summer. Our room was street facing so a little noisy, but I'm sure you could request a quieter one. The breakfast was absolutely... More

Like many of the other reviewers, I wasn't sure what to expect. I loved it! The rooms were amazing with a sink, frig, microwave, nicely decorated, and very clean. Keith and the staff were more than helpful -- always willing to make suggestions. The breakfast was delicious! Would recommend this to all!

Staying in Mission District

Neighborhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.
