This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The owner was rude, and the rooms ridiculously overpriced given the awful location and filthy accommodation. The area is VERY dangerous (day and night...!) If your idea of a nice night involves watching drug deals and a gathering of prostitutes on the street, this is for you. The... More

Imagine a grotty little building in the worst part of a dirty city. That, is Ram's hotel. Nearly $80 a night they tried to charge me there. It's located in a ghetto foir crying out loud. The rooms smelt disgusting, the staff were rude, and I feared for my life when leaving the hotel. Avoid it like the plague.

Stayed here for one night after consulting the hotels board at the main greyhound bus terminal. One night was enough. Upon arrival we got out of the taxi into what looked like quite a horrible area of town, but that aside, we were then faced with the most ridiculous check in procedure I have ever been through in my life... Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
