The inn is located above a night club, on the 1st floor there are 8 bedrooms and on the 2nd 10 bedrooms, each floor has 2 shared restrooms and 3 showers, but I never had any trouble with waiting. There is a steep flight of steps to the 1st floor so this place is not suitable for anyone who struggles... More

Considering how expensive accommodation in San Francisco is (Even an overcrowded youth hostel may cost $40 per night for a dorm bed), this place is relatively budget-friendly. Though the toilet and bathrooms are shared, I think there are enough of them and they are relatively well-maintained and clean. There are even liquid soap in the shower rooms. Breakfast is included... More

The room was actually surprisingly clean and very modern, although it lacked in walking space. The only issue was that it didn't come with its own bathroom. We had to walk down the hall to a shared toilet and shower (which they kept very clean) but a couple of times I needed to "go" the toilet was occupied. If you're... More

Reasonable price for such and expensive city and our room was very clean and comfortable however if you're going to stay here it's important to know it's stupidly loud as its next door to a nightclub (hotel provides earplugs which are a must) and the area is a little run down with many homeless around. Location is okay, about a... More

I stayed in this hotel for one week in December for work. The guy at the reception is helpful, nice and professional. The hotel has nice atmosphere, however since when you enter you nay feel the walls in the corridor vibrating for the music of the club downstairs. And when u enter in the room the vibration/sound effect is appalling,... More

Handy hotel on a up and coming street. Lots of cool bars and restaurants on same street so good in the evening after long day sightseeing. Very clean, good wifi and breakfast excellent. Music from nightclub below very, very loud- ear plugs provided but be warned.

Half of reviews are positive because the bar at the lower floor is closed every other day. Otherwise you won't sleep until 2-3am, even with the complimentary ear plugs. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION.

I wasn't sure about the shared bathroom but everything was great!! We stayed one night and were in 102 right on top of the club. It is noisy but we didn't mind. Very nice room and it had a sink. The bed was comfy and had a great comforter!! Never waited to use the restroom. The club down stairs wasn't... More

We accidentally booked this hotel online and tried to cancel 10 minutes later. The hotel would not honour our cancellation request and were forced to pay $100+ for a room that we were not going to use.

I stayed here for four nights in September 2014. At the time, for some reason all of the hotels in the downtown area were asking for at least 300-400$ per night so I picked this hotel which was cheaper. here are my observations: 1. The rooms looked clean and very small. 2. There are no bathrooms in the room and... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
