That's for staying at the Orchard Garden. I'm camping out here for the next two days until I can move in to an apartment close by, and booked the room because of the less expensive rate. I knew I was going to get killed on parking the car ($40 a night), but that's the only downside, and not their fault... More

Our family of 6 consists of 4 teenagers. We spent 4 days in San Francisco right before Christmas. The staff was a huge help, because, although we had travel books, we had never visited SF before. The staff gave us great suggestions. It's a great location for using public transportation. I would highly recommend this hotel. My only complaint was... More

Very modern and clean yet warm. Seems recently renovated and very nice front desk people. Right near Chinatown and Bart etc. Nice rooms though mine had no real view...maybe that's why it was a decent price. Not much of a lobby but thats' OK- small but decent restaurant. At late night, the area around the hotel is just a little... More

I picked this hotel because of the reviews I read on Trip Advisor. I did see comments about the size of the rooms but not about the suites. Their "king" size bed was not a king either, they confirmed at the front desk that it was a king size bed, we have a king size bed at home and unless... More

We stayed at this hotel with our two teenage daughters. The front desk staff is okay, but the restaurant and bar staff are amazing - loved Corey and Lindsay! They are generous, friendly and pour great, big drinks. The happy hour is a great deal, 4-7pm- buy a drink and get a large salad, or huge order of truffle fries... More

The hotel was peaceful amidst the whirwind of activity in Union Square. Orchard Garden and Orchard hotel are my faves in the city. The rooms are clean, green and spacious. I would definitely stay again!

We took advantage of a hotel promotion to visit San Francisco for the weekend with our family and were wondering what to expect. We were very pleased by the beautiful lobby, inviting bar and restaurant, and friendly staff as soon as we walked in. Our room was spotless and excatly as pictured on the web site. A huge plus is... My adult daughter and I stayed at the Orchard Garden as an early Christmas visit together to do our shopping in SF for a long weekend. We LOVED the location of the hotel for walking anywhere we needed to shop, its green LEED rating, and great room with fluffy white duvets that we called "our cloud beds." Totally a good... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
