Checked out this morning after staying for 4 nights. Our room looked a little dated compared to another I saw but still had everything we needed. Owners were super friendly and helpful. Close to the bus/tram so you don't need to drive if your staying here.

We stayed at knights inm for 3 nights. The main reason that we stayed there was because of the great service that we got from the stuff. Very friendly and helpful. Also the rioms are clean and big. The liction is very good, about two stations from the golden gate bridge. I highly reccomend it! Worth the money

We arrived with no booking to this place and the lady in the office was very nice and accomodating. She also was very helpful in giving us tips for moving around the city. There is nothing better than a good welcome when you go to a new city (and such a beautiful city San Francisco is). Location is great, only... More

I can't say enough about the service, some of the best I've had, but the cleanliness was an issue. Bathroom and sheets were clean, so ultimately, that was most important, but I didn't feel comfortable not wearing shoes. We found an old, dusty sock under the table. The location was fantastic, you are moments from the Presidio, and anything farther... More

Room was dated but clean. Super location and got a great price as well. Chestnut street was fun and you can't beat the presidio. Staff were super nice, and actually interested in our vacation and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked here as we were unsure of where else to go! The man on reception was friendly, offered us a good price gave good information was very helpful. From the hotel, away from the main road the neighbourhood is lovely, one of the nicest in San Francisco. Would rate the location as top and the room as expected. There... More

We stayed for one night only. We were received by a gentleman that was super nice to us, he even gave us 2x quarters so we had the exact change for the bus. The room was nice and decent, the sheets seemed fresh and the bathroom was clean. The only con about the room is that it kind of smelled... More

Room was filthy and not up to my standards. I can understand its in san francisco but that doesn't mean that you get such horrible service for paying so much. I felt the walls were very thin and things just didn't feel very safe. They don't pay attention to detail. I will not be staying here again.

Not the cheapest, but very low standard. Dirty bedsheets and smelly room. We bought a scented candle to get rid of the nasty smell. We didn't dare to use the showers. Find another place if you're able.

Not only was the room at Knights Inn San Francisco very expensive, the walls were so thin I could hardly sleep because of all the noise. There is also a total lack of assistance from staff. I have been writing to the staff for weeks in order to receive an electronic copy of my receipt, but have thus far not... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
