I've stayed here several times on business trips, and found this to be one of the best places in this price range. The location is a huge plus: right next to Union Square, 5min walk to a BART station. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is great, particularly Rodel at the front desk is very helpful. They offer... More

I searched this hotel on TripAdvisor and booked it with booking.com.Room was small and bathroom was sharing but we found it clean all the times. Kitchen is well equipped and free to use. You can cook your kinda meal here. Antique elevator is scary and you need at least two persons to operate the door. There was only one staff... More

Some definite positives about the Park Hotel are the rates, room size, and location. There was some problem when I checked in, the booking I made on a popular hotel reservation portal did not match that with the hotel. The front desk staff Rodel was very apologetic and got right away to working a very good solution to the issue.... More

There are a few drawbacks to this hotel, but as has been mentioned before: considering the price it is definitely among the best you can get. I stayed at other hotels in SF in this price range which were absolutely filthy and very noisy. This one was neither. Let's start with the good points. Excellent staff, very polite, in certain... San Francisco is a very very expensive city, and staying in a central hotel could be very difficult without paying a big amount of money. It is not a hotel, it s a hostal. So the room is simple, but you have all you need to rest after a long day "climbing" San Francisco. Moreover the hostal is four minutes... More

The hotel is very well located, you can walk all around San Francisco. very nice area. But the hotel is not good. Durty, small, and with no security at all. There is people living in the hotel! So you see people cooking, talking out loud. not nice. the room was small, very dusty. not nice.

The building front is beautiful. The location couldn't be better. The bed and bath clothes were clean. This is all. The room wasn't a good place to stay, as well as the common area, all covered by a stinky carpet. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend (at all).

Nice staff, excellent location but rooms dated and there was an annoying tenant beside us who kept getting up and slamming doors all night. Not fun!!! Would stay again for a night or two. The shared bathrooms were ok, not the hotels fault but people didn't always clean up after themselves.

Seriously, the hotel is extremelly expensive for what you take! Location is good; busy region in the heart of the city. OK. Reception is OK also.. Anyhow, the rooms are terrible; bed with terrible mattress; tv with only 5 channels! Rooms are too noisy! and the general smell of the hotel is terrible! DON´T STAY HERE!

Location is right in-between Union Square and china town. Nice location if you want to go shopping in San Francisco. The hotel staff is kind and helpful. You can leave you bags there till late as well, so not to have to carry them around the city before you leave. The room we had was relatively quiet (ask for top... More
