The hotel looks a bit rough. Our room had scuffed up walls, a dirty bathroom shelf & mattress that sunk in the center. The room artwork & corridor artwork is under scaled & cheap looking. Tub/shower was dirty & typical of a lower end hotel. Overall the details just are not there for the price. Whatever you do, ask for... More

We made a reservation through booking.com with a price of 760 euro before tax, and it becomes 1250 euro after tax (15% plus some small city tax). I asked in the reception and they told me it's because they charged 200 usd deposit. After a week I do not receive my deposit back and I complained to booking.com as they... More

This is a great hotel, beautifully decorated, right opposite the ferry building and street car stops. Roof terrace has amazing views. We had a lovely room at the front overlooking the harbour, bridge and was great for people watching. Valet parking v expensive but they were good about recommending alternatives, which we used. Tea/coffee also expensive as only by room... More

Stayed here a few times and it is always fabulous. Great location with amazing views. Easy walk to Ferry building. Rooms are spacious and bed is very comfortable. If you happen to be there on a Friday nite, lounge is very busy. Get a room away so noise won't bother you. I'll be back on my next SF visit.

Loved the location, had a waterfront view of Bay Bridge and the market that's fully bustling. They offer overnight valet for parking at SF rates ($55). Nice clean open contemporary lobby. Ate at their breakfast spot and food was very fresh and more delicious than I expected. Hotel rooms were contemporary and very clean. Overheard the concierge giving suggestions to... More

Hotel Vitale is in a great location to comfortably enjoy the San Francisco waterfront. It is located straight across the road from the newly refurbished Ferry buildings, a must visit market. The hotel is modern with a slight seventies feel about its design. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with adequate bathrooms. The staff are helpful and pleasant.

The hotel upgraded us to a room with an amazing view of the Bay Bridge and Ferry Building. We spent a lot of time on the 6th floor terrace (on the same floor as our room), reading and admiring the gorgeous view. Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. We didn't try the bar/restaurant, but it looked like a cool... More

I shared this review on yelp, but I wanted to share my thoughts here as well: I surprised my boyfriend for a surprise stay and couples bath at Spa Vitale for his birthday. Here is where I place the five stars: 1) I included in my reservation a note that we were celebrating a birthday. To the kind staff member... More

We stayed here for my girlfriend's birthday trip to San Francisco. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and the warm service continued for the duration of our stay. The hotel is situated in a great area close to the Ferry Building and walking distance to most of the tourist areas. We received a complimentary upgrade to a ocean front room... More

Stayed in San Franciso for one night and couldn't have picked a better location! Fabulous view of the bay bridge and within walking distance from amazing shopping area! The hotel was stunning and the room was just fabulous! So happy with our stay! We were lucky to get a discount online and probably would not have stayed for the original... More

Dear Eevvee: Thank you for visiting us at Hotel Vitale, I wish you had been able to stay for longer—San Francisco has so much to offer, it is hard to enjoy it all in one day! The Embarcadero Center shops are conveniently just across the plaza for nearly anything you could need—clothes, food, toys, Giant’s souvenirs, and the list goes... More
