Is this you first visit to San Francisco? You are not the 1% of the community that had huge pay check? Are you a common people, casual and enjoy walking a bit? Then probably this hotel will suit you well, there is nothing that can beat its value, the breakfast, free parking and also wifi. Each room is decorated uniquely... More

This hotel is a real gem. It has been in business since 1929 for a reason. They have kept most of the original decorations and even the original elevators. The room was very clean and spacious, and even had a walk-in closet. The continental breakfast was very good, with a selection of baked goods, toast, oatmeal, bagels, tea, hot chocolate,... More

I still can't believe how cheap this place was compared to everything else in the area. It's a bit worn, but I thought that sort of added to its charm :) The quick important bits: clean, good area, excellent value, friendly staff, comfy beds. Details: The rooms are huge compared with modern chain places and have an abundance of closet/storage... More

We had a pleasant stay in Mayflower Hotel on July 2014. The staff was really great, they gave us a map indicating all we needed, the best way to get on the places... Besides that, they gently received two packages that my husband needed to be delivered in San Francisco without charging for that. The room is spacious, it is... More

Excellent place to stay, rooms are great clean and well equipped. The lifts are a bit small but not a problem. Make sure you get up early for breakfast, the dining room is very small. Breakfast menu is limited to bagels toast cheese jam and boiled eggs, but this is plenty to get you going. Staff are very helpful and... More

Me and my wife stayed at the Mayflower for 5 days during Aug, 2014. The staff was very helpful and the check-in and check-out process were very fast. The location is just perfect to explore the wonderful city of San Francisco. The room was cozy and clean, one complain was the poor wi-fi signal in our room (located on the 2nd floor)... This is a real gem of a hotel full of characture and history and we found it very clean. We experienced very friendly and helpful staff who gave us a map of San Francisco and also pointed out all of the main attractions that we then were able to find very easily either by walking to or via the wonderful... Just came back from a 2 week road trip through California and I gotta say this was one of our favourite hotels! We had a hard time finding any san fran hotels within our budget so when we found this one on tripadvisor we were excited to book it for such a great price! We stayed two nights and enjoyed... More

I was in town for the SF Marathon and found this hotel on TripAdvisor. This hotel was very reasonably priced and not far from the BART, streetcars, and buses. I had a double bed room in the 3rd floor. It was very clean and had a kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave. There was a free continental breakfast but... More

For the price, it was in a good location not far from powell street, union square side of the hill. The rooms were large compared to more modern hotels & they had fridges and microwave ovens. Wifi was good& the rooms clean. The breakfast buffet was ok with some cereals, muffins, breads, apples, boiled eggs. juice, tea, coffee etc. Our... More
