We LOVED it here. For some reason I wasn't expecting much of this hotel but when we arrived I was so happy. There is free parking in there underground garage but the driveway is VERY TIGHT so don't bring a large car. Also there is only limited spaces so you're not guaranteed a spot. It's beautiful, old hotel with a... More

We stayed four nights at the Mayflower. Initial impression wasn't great because of a strong musty smell in the lobby (which improved over time). We loved the old-fashioned elevators. The basement level garage easily saved us over $100 in parking fees but was quite a challenge to enter/exit. The room itself wasn't huge but fairly recently renovated and the included... More

This was a great place to stay - just out of the hustle of the primary tourist areas and convenient to public transportation (bus, cable car) to get to the sights. We stayed in a family room for five nights - it was very clean, neat and spacious. We had two big closets to tuck our things into and a... More

This is the most charming and quaint hotel i have ever stayed in. It's cosy and homely with old school elevators with grills and murals on the walls. The room they gave us for a family of four was a suite. The rooms are very very spacious and comfortable. They are fully equipped with a microwave/fridge/cutlery and plates etc.The hotel... More

We stayed three nights at the Mayflower while in SF for a wedding. Overall, we were extremely happy with the hotel. The location is fantastic, the price is reasonable, and our room was clean and comfortable. As an added plus, the rest of the building is beautifully preserved -- sitting in their lobby, one really feels transported to the early... More

My gf and I had a VERY enjoyable stay at the Mayflower this past week. No, NOT the Ritz Carlton, but if you prefer a hotel with a little character, this immaculate 90 yr old gem can't be beat. Location IMHO is great, with a Trader Joes almost next store, and numerous good eateries. A couple of our faves included... More

As my title suggests this is a nice and clean hotel that is located fairly centrally. It is on the edge of a not so desirable neighborhood, but we only saw that when we initially walked to our hotel. The hotel staff were lovely and gave us great advice. The street that the hotel is on has some lovely cafes... More

I stayed here with my family for 6 nights this past June. The room was very clean and spacious. It is just down the street from the cable cars and very centrally located. The staff was very nice and always very helpful with directions. There is a laundromat very close by which we needed on our extended trip. They gave... More

Stayed here for 7 days place is ideally located for almost everything in the city. Only negatives are thin walls and ceilings can literally hear everything going on beside you and above you. I would definitely stay again just ask to be on higher floor!

Took the Super Shuttle from the airport to the hotel, since we decided it would be better to use public transportation for the three days we would be in SF (very happy we made that choice, btw.) Was a bit nervous when we pulled up however. We had never been to SF before, so weren't quite sure that we had... More
