I stayed at this hostel for about a week while in the usa. the staff members were really nice and helpful. some tenets are a little "out there" but thats the beauty of it all. I met a lot of exciting, creative, excentric people. Ive heard this place is a lot cleaner now that they have a new cleaner, although... More

This place is seriously rediculous. DOnt stay here alone you'll be fine if you stay with friends but dont expect anything just sleep there and leave cus haight street is beautiful and you can walk to buena vista park and golden gate park and find some goods... but the hostel is pretty gross. I LOVE S.F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been recently painted and worked on, so its now better than before. People are real and friendly. staff here were always available to assist me in any problems, prices are reasonable and fair for... More

I recently stayed at this guesthouse and found the staff to be friendly and informative. I had fun while I stayed here. The house was cleaned everyday and my dorm once a week. I will stay here next time I'm in town.

The uppermost floor (3rd) appears to have had the most recent attentions, in terms of decore, maintenance, etc. There's also an impression that quiter, more responsible guests are placed there. The "first" floor (2nd floor in bldg) is really pretty bad. Shabby, dirty, loud. A number of down-on-luck ongoing "residents" included a drunk, rude persons, possibly mentally disorderd, hostel rule... More
