My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and had a pretty great time. The amenities are very basic but there was nothing else I would have needed. Breakfast was extremely minimal but I don't get up early enough for it anyway. The rooms are charming, as is the vintage elevator (I loved the elevator!) Heat was provided by an... More

Pros: Fabulous location near to Union Square, Chinatown and Japantown. The room designs are interesting and the staff are very polite. Cons: bathroom was a little tired and not well-designed, rooms not well sound-proofed (you could hear next door) and, in comparison to all our other hotels in California, the breakfast was poor (stale bagels, muffins and spreads). I wonder... More

Staff was very friendly, rooms are small but cozy. My Husband and I stayed one night. Love all the art. Every room was different. A really cool Irish bar was next door. We took a shuttle bus took us to the airport for alot cheaper than a taxi.

Great place for me because of all of the artwork and uniqueness of the place. It was visually delightful to stroll the halls and check out everything. I had a very quiet stay which surprised me after living years in the bay area and listening to street noise. I have stayed at many hotels in the city and this was... More

This hotel is in such a great location right at your door is chinatown then a short walk is union square and cable cars. The beds are so comfortable, and room we had was very spacious, but toilet was a little hard to flush at times but when we brought it to their attention the sorted it straight away. The... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here from the 28th October - 8th November 2015! The rooms are good, comfy bed - memory foam. Sink, hair dryer, fridge, TV, towels, ironing board and iron in the room. It is a shared bathroom - one toilet then another room with a toilet and shower. We had no problems sharing the space and... More

Stayed 3 nights with our 3 month old daughter. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Great location with city center and public transport within a short walk. Carpark 2 minutes up the road and easy to use. Absolutely loved all art in the place! Rooms were small (but is the norm in San Fran) and clean. Only complaint was the... More

Traveled on business and stayed two nights. Have to say I liked the two other rooms in which my colleagues stayed. I however quite disliked my room. Its chosen decor was quite cluttered. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was not appealing, but there is excellent breakfast available in the area. The artwork throughout the hallways was enjoyable. I had... More

The location is excellent, close to the BART, F Line, cable cars and Union Square. The rooms are comfortable and clean with very fast WiFi. However there was no air conditioning meaning we had to open the window during the night thanks to the August heatwave and there was a noisy A/C unit just outside our window that started at... More
