I was taking a week long class in SF and chose this hotel for location and value. I was able to get a weekly rate and a return customer discount, and found I was paying less than fellow students who were in a nearby hostel. I was able to get a small refrigerator on request, which let me add some... More

If you're looking for cookie-cutter, don't stay here. If you enjoy a touch of funkiness along with a great location and reasonable price, then consider this hotel. Location: easy walk from Market Street (hills not too steep) and the Montgomery BART station, just one block from Chinatown, 2-3 blocks from Union Square, one block from Powell Street cable car. Reasonable... More

Was Thinking it would be similar to "The Standard/LA" but without the nightclub thing. It was anything but. The room I had was apparently done by a "well-known New York Artist". I have seen better stuff scawled on the side of freeways! It was just a bunch of grafitti and spray paint! Was not even attractive! It gave me a... More

This is a really nice hotel compared to other hotels in this price range. We loved the location. Very central. The breakfast was included, but we decided not to eat there because it was so limited. Only some bagels and juice + no seating. We also found the wall paint a bit weird. But no matter what we really liked... More

I was here with a few colleagues. We were split between two hotels. This hotel was a fair bit cheaper than the other hotel but I think it was a nicer place and better location. Nice complimentary breakfast. I had room 310, really big room, it was lovely

Our family of five stayed at this hotel for nine days from November 2014 to December while in San Francisco mainly due to its ability to accommodate five individuals. Its location was discreet - it is a very small hotel which could only be identified by its signage, and the entrance (being the first floor, not the lobby) was very... More

I stayed in this hotel for a week on a business trip. My room was freezing (I'm guessing 55-60 degrees), despite asking them to turn on the heat numerous times, and there was no thermostat. Further, the room was right above a noisy street with single paned windows that did not lock, so not only was it too cold to... More

We searched San Francisco for budget type accomodation. On arrival the staff were very friendy, informative and chatty, they told us all we needed to know about San Francisco. Rooms were neat, tidy and most of all the bed was very comfortable. Small contenintal breakfast was also included in the relativly cheap price. The hotels location was great, right at... More

We chose the hotel because it was very competitively priced for the city, and we liked the idea of the artwork in the rooms (wanting something a bit different). However, we were left extremely disappointed. Firstly, the artwork in the room was awful. It looked like a child had scribbled all over the walls (and in fact there was some... More

We came to SF for our honeymoon from Florida. At home AC is standard, but no AC here, though the staff did get us a fan to help out. The olde timey elevator was fun but the walls were thin. If you love the hustle and bustle this place is right in the financial district near Chinatown. I don't, so... More
