No breakfast even promised. When checking in it was clearly asked, if breakfast is included or not. Answer was yes, but when next morning we tried to find place for breakfast staff said that they've never served breakfast. Rooms smelled like old mans perfume, A LOT. I just wonder why... Rate poor, because the place was not worth the money.

I ended uy staying a whole week since the location was good and the room was clean and quiet. And most of all,not expencive. The hotel needs restoring, carpets and furniture worn, but beds are good.Stayed at the forth floor(quiet), but no lift.Friendly staff.

I stayed here for 3 night for my stay in San Fran. The check-in was easy and the staff friendly. The room was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to (I had the 2 queens) be. The noise isn't too bad, I'm a good sleeper so it didn't bother me much. The bed was super comfy and... More

Stayed here thinking it was a Wyndham property with Wyndham standards. It is not even a Knights Inn - their sign says Alpha Inn and Suites. Parking was very limited. Had to park between supports for the building next door. The furniture was dirty. The electrical was scary. The fan in the bathroom was dirty and noisy. We will be... More

Best thing, location. On Lombard Street and just one block from some decent bars and restaurants. Hotel is old and needs updating. Room was large and had a decent 'lounge' area. The room was clean but the bathroom really needed replacing. Public areas had heavily stained carpets. Parking maybe free but it is on a first come basis and there... More

The owner is really friendly. But that's about it. The rooms are not that great. They seem to be clean. The fridge wasn't working. I had to pick up another fridge in another room by myself. Very early in the morning, some workers were reparing the roof, it was very anoing.

I picked the hotel because it had free parking and a pool. Was advertized pretty prominently. The pool is closed down forever unfortunately ( they found it too expensive to maintain for the few guests using it); rooms are reasonable. The location is pretty good. The staff is a bit rude unfortunately.

Although it was a clean hotel,I would not spend another visit in this hotel. Hot water never worked. Located on Lombard street and close to some nice eateries in Pacific Heights and near Chestnut Street. Desk manager was helpful and friendly . Room was hot when we arrived and all windows closed up. It is a very old building and... More

Manager was very nice and accommodating. Furniture needed replacing and some minor maintenance and repair would have made the room better, however the room was clean and all we were needing was a clean place to stay. Would stay there again if in San Francisco.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
