This hotel is modern, clean and comfortable situated in a local neighbourhood with some good bars and restaurants very nearby. It is also well situated for public transport to visit the main attractions of San Francisco. A number 30 bus boarding in Chestnut Street will take you downtown or you can get off along the way for Fisherman's wharf, Little... More

After touring SF what you need late in the day is a clean and quiet place to sleep. Don't expect any luxury for the price. One of the reasons for taking this hotel was the location and the fact that there is free parking, which is very convenient in this city. Good WiFi. Breakfast is very basic but good at... More

Great location, nice room not big but bed nice and very clean, simple continental breakfast perfect for us as a couple. Car park not very big but its a free place to park you car. Had a nice walk up Lombard street the first night saw a cable car and the windy road.

Good location, quite close to Fisherman's Warf and the marina. Small motel-like accomodation with small parking lot and poor little breakfast served in the office (take-away-to-room). Helpful staff. Basic but adequate

I would describe this place with the word adequate. It's clean, but small rooms, provided us a place to sleep, store our things and park the car while sightseeing in SF. It is close to the Big Red Bus tour stop. Parking is free, but limited availability, so get there early. A limited free breakfast of juice, coffee and muffins... More

We stayed in this place the first weekend in June. The good points: affordable for SF, very clean, comfy bed, a block away from easy public transportation routes, or if you are a walker about 15 minute walk to Fishermans Warf area. Things to be aware of: wifi is NOT good, yes there is parking but it is limited. Not... More

A small but lovely place. Although located near downtown and near (not on) the Bay, and on the bus lines, this inn is very quietr ( we stayed about 3 rooms back from the street on the first floor) . The room was clean and smelled fresh. As the room was narrow, maybe a Queen sized bed would have been... More

Booked the room for two nights based on reviews. Room appeared neat, but is small. Does have a fridge and microwave, which is nice, But there was a little food still in the microwave . When we walked into the room (210) it smelled musty or moldy. We opened the window and door to try to air out the room,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was nice. The bed was big and comfortable and the room was clean, with a big television, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bed had a nice duvet cover on it which is unusual for the other motels that we have stayed in in America. I chose this hotel because free parking... More

All along Lombard St are multiple hotels / motels where you can park you car and explore the city. This is definitely the best one of this type of property we have stayed in and for us its a far nicer place to stay than the chain hotels around Fisherman's Wharf. The rooms are lovely, well furnished with big flat... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
