If you're looking for a clean bed in SF in a nice neighborhood for a good price then this is the place! We had a wonderful stay in room 108. Bring your earplugs, there is a restaurant downstairs, but we knew that and with the earplugs we had a nice sleep! Only downside: what's up with the sweet smell in... More

My husband and I liked Metro Hotel. It was clean, fairly spacious, and in a good/safe location if you want to 'feel like a local' and not stay in a touristy area. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Free parking was a definite bonus. We would definitely recommend staying here. Pros: cleanliness, friendly staff, location,... More

Spent 6 nights here at the end if January. Tremendous value and the staff gave us recommendations for restaurants and sights that were spot on. (Shana you rock!) Great location in cool area. For people driving, lots of free street parking and only a 10 min drive to either the Golden Gate or Bay bridges. Rooms are small but functional... More

My husband and I and our two kids stayed here for 2 nights on our quick drive through San Francisco on our way up to Portland. Fun, quirky, clean, and affordable!!! Great, great location. The only downside is having to park a few blocks away, but that is everywhere in San Fran.

We spent 4 nights there last October. Plenty to like and dislike. Likes: - Great neighbourhood, plenty of good cafes/restaurants nearby (one right next door), close to Haight/Ashbury, on or close to several main bus routes - Cheap for SF - Clean - Comfortable bed Dislikes: - Parking can be difficult if you arrive after 5 and you have to... Clean, neat, good neighborhood, no problems. Staff helpful and polite. I'd forgotten toothpaste and they gave me a travel tube. I believe that for the price in SF this was a good deal (though I didn't look around too much). Nothing luxurious--and no elevator--but just what I was looking for.

We took this hotel based upon Trip Advisor ratings and to be near UCSF Medical Center. The place was clean, but it had no heat. We were there for two nights and all they could give us was a small space heater. It did not heat up the room. Upon checking out all they could say is that they were... More

Clean, safe, convenient accommodation for under a hundred dollars. Close to the bus, easy access to many parts of town and a short shuttle from the airport. Desk staff were polite enough. Thanks for a great stay :)

Went there the first time in 2013 after a recommendation by a friend. Very clean, reasonable prices (I paid much more for much less in SFO), extremely friendly and helpful staff. Take your chance to explore the neighbourhood, there are some really nice cafes and bars just around the corner and Ashbury & Haight is only 5 minute walk away... More

Booked this room as it was near friends i was visiting. It was clean and tidy with a decent sized shower. I only used it at night as i was out most of the day. The staff on reception were polite. The room i booked said it was above a restaurant and had a chance of noise but i didn't... More
