The hotel smelled like old urine and we had to air out our rooms. The bathroom and bed sheets were not clean and we found old garbage by the bed from those who rented before us. I didn't like the fact that we had to leave our key in the reception every time we went out. We're not coming back

I dont care who you are but you need to beware of this hotel. It is in a very bad area and homeless people are everywhere and they constantly beg for money everytime they see you. Hotel is dirty and service is not friendly at all. The inside of rooms is dirty and smells horrible. I cant even believe they... More

The building seemed to be quite old and hotel is very "kitsch": Old jukeboxes, carpet everywhere, including the elevator walls. Although they didn't advertise it, the hotel did have free wifi but it only worked properly in the reception area. They also served also all-day coffee and tea snd donuts for breakfast (features that weren't advertised either). The staff was... More

We wanted to spend one night in SF and found an offer for this hotel, one night for 70$ which is really cheap for the City,so we were ready for everything...and in the end we were really pleased and happy!the hotel is right on market st,walking distance from the cable car and in front of bus stop for everywhere in the... This was my first trip to SF and I was pretty ready for everything especially for the price this hotel offer their rooms. We arrived one day earlier than expected and stayed 1 night in a room with shared bathroom and 2 nights with our own. The difference is huge, the second room was much better and it's obviously more... More

I have been in SF about 5 times now. Staying here because I didn't want to spend 4 times as much to be near the convention center. I know SF enough to know exactly what I would get. But for folks who don't like the rougher side of town, it might seem that way to you. There were more hallucinating... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in a room with a private bathroom. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the hotel is convenient for public transport. I had a room at the front of the hotel. As others have commented there is a lot of noise from the street. It didn’t bother me at all but I can... More

I stayed here on a recent business trip to San Francisco. I booked at the last minute, and chose this location because of the price. I needed a place to sleep for a few hours over two nights. I chose a room with a private bathroom. Pros: - Price. - Friendly staff. - Free doughnuts (I didn't eat them, but... More

I booked this hotel for one night, basically because of the price. San Francisco hotels are expensive, and this one is slightly less so! Reading some of the other reviews I had quite a picture in my head... I was expecting filth from start to finish but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly, the free coffee, water... More

So my trip to San Francisco was sort of last minute and Aida Hotel met my needs at the moment so I booked it. I've never been a fan of staying at expensive hotels as I spend 80% outside of it either I'm at work or doing tourist stuff. The hotel is not 5 stars but it was a great... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
