We stayed for two nights and found it to be a perfect base of operations for exploring the city. Old building with beautiful antique furnishings, but the most modern and updated bathroom ever! And the breakfasts..., we ate so much we never needed lunch! The staff was so helpful they even helped me find a great parking spot where I... More

We spent a few days in San Francisco for tourism and we choose to stay at the Montecristo BB as we where looking for a 5star experience without the hassle of booking a 5 star hotel. The rooms are what you would expect in a BB: not large but very comfortable. Each has its own personality and they are very... More

a fantastic breakfast and one of the most beautiful bathrooms we've ever seen in a hotel! This is nice old house that is kept in france stile. Best of all is the service and way you feel wellcome in the house. This come to life by the nice old lady making breakfast.

Overall, we had a great experience staying at the Monte Cristo. This B & B is an older home that has had many renovations. Most recently the bathrooms have been completely updated to display a modern look. Ours had ample counter space and an amazing shower. (However, I'd suggest that the mirror lighting could be a little brighter.) Although the... More

We stayed here as part of our trip up the CA coast. It was not only beautiful, but had a fantastic breakfast and one of the most beautiful bathrooms we've ever seen in a hotel! (yes, we loved the bathroom!) Only slight down side is the room was a little stuffy (we used the portable fan that was provided in... More

I can't compliment Jack who manages (perhaps owns - not sure?) this hotel enough. We chose the hotel primarily as it was small (11 rooms I think) and I needed some packages to be delivered in advance of stay. Jack was great on the email confirming they could take delivery, and they were put in our room for arrival. After... More

This charming B&B is in the lovely upscale residential area of Pacific Heights. Cozy breakfast room and small study. Reminds of many London Hotels. Rooms are all different with lovely eclectic decor. I was on the the first floor next to the Dining room on the street. (Last room available.) Quiet, clean, cozy. No complaints. Ask to see other rooms... More

We stayed just one night but can see staying more. The B&B is located a few short miles from Union square, giving you the opportunity to explore a different part of the city. We had a very warm welcome. The room was not large, but very nice. The bathroom was totally remodeled with marble and modern fixtures, but didn't take... More

Thankfully, we only spent one night here.(Oct 17th) No A/C in the rooms. I was not aware of this at the time of the booking. One window, no screen and therefore no cross ventilation. We had a table fan which didn't do much. The bathroom was the best part of the room, very updated. The owner very unfriendly and didn't... More
