Stay at a hotel big mistake it's dumpy. Lousy breakfast do not see why they maids we did all the work. Need to wash the comforters and bunk beds need steps not to safe if on top. Might be better for young travelers trying to save money. Do not recommend this one 4 person dorm was only $26 per night.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 1 night. We had a twin room as there were no doubles left which is fine but it was right underneath the canteen so we could hear the chairs scraping along the ground above us, and people walking around. At one point it sounded like someone dropped something really heavy and then dragged... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in a private room with my mum. Our room was very close to the showers/toilets and although it was near the common room we didn't hear a thing at night. Hostel had a lot of older people, probably half in their twenties, the other half ranging from 30's to 70's. All very friendly. This is... More

This is an amazing location. The views of the Bay will stay will you long after you depart. The kindness and great personalities on staff always make it a pleasure to stay here.

I stayed 4 nights in total and couldve stayed longer. The hostel is quite large and is well staffed with helpful individuals. The rooms are standard fayre - I was in a 6 person room. Lockers beneath the beds were large enough to store everything, and there was additional locked storage room too. Sheets, towels( yes plural, I had 3)... More

I stayed at this hostel only and checked out earlier this week. Staff was kind, the food was cheap and organic, fellow travelers were nice. However, when I returned I developed many bug bites all over my body and did today locate bed bugs on my bed at home. Now I am spending all day thoroughly cleaning my bedroom and... More

Stayed for three nights in early September in the main dorm which is 24 beds. Thought this might be a problem but was fine and very quiet. Not much atmosphere in the hostel as it is very large. Has a lounge, cafe for free breakfast, wifi and internet and phones. Reception was helpful location was great for getting to Fisherman's... More

Its a hostel where all ages stay. We had pre booked a double private room. The bathroom was close by. It was always clean and the staff were amazingly helpful. I had concerns it would be very noisy at night but it was fine even over the weekend. There was a large TV lounge close by and on one morning... More

My first time hosteling and I was disappointed in how I was treated by the staff. When being assigned room and bed I noticed when entering my room that the bed I had been assigned was being used!? So I just used another bed and thought nothing of it, but also told the staff behind front desk. They did not... More

We just completed a four-night stay. As my son said, "This place looks better on the internet." Pros: Free parking, quiet, very cheap. Cons: Most of the free parking is down the hill (only a few spaces out front); maid service occurs after checkout apparently because our room wasn't cleaned once while we were there; clanging radiators woke us up...
