I was part of a group that stayed at this hostel for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean as were the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable though the top bunk of the bed I slept in came down a bit far. The breakfast was fine. more

The Fort Mason hostel is set in former military buildings and although they're historically interesting, they're not particularly comfortable. I found the hostel to be a little too cold, damp and drafty for my liking. The million-dollar views, however, are unbeatable. I doubt any full service hotel could provide a better backdoor view.
