If you're looking for luxury, well this hotel is not for you. If you are looking for cheap and good location, then I would highly recommend this place. Don't come in with high expectations. It's a place to sleep. It's not fancy, it's extremely basic. That being said, the location is amazing and couldn't ask for anything better. :)

This should not be called a hotel. It's old, dirty, stinky and service is terrible! Beds are small, couldn't open the window, carpet is dirty, the toilet was never refurbished in the last 30 years!! elevator is creepy and unsafe! Ok, price is cheap for the area but I don't suggest to stay here. The idea of going back and... More

Booked our room through Travelocity over a month in advance. Got to the hotel at 8pm to check-in and get our zzz after our all day tour at Angel Island and Alcatraz. The owner said he canceled our reservations!! It was during San Francisco Marathon so hotels are booked! I was baffled and questioned him. He said that he left... More

Here are few facts missing from your review. You made reservation under different name and provided your credit card information. You provided other person's office telephone number. We made a 2 courtesy call to verify your arrival at noon and 4 p.m. but no response. Hotel policy clearly mentions no reservation with third party credit card will be honored unless... More

It's an old building and shows it. But the staff/owners are lovely and friendly. We've stayed there twice before and it's my choice. The location is fantastic - close to Union Square and the bus into the city is across the street in one direction and back is on the street above. The best breakfast is just over the road... More

San Francisco hotels can be really pricey. At $150 a night, Taylor Hotel was the cheapest in the vicinity of Union square. It was located a few blocks away from union square, the neighborhood was quiet, clean and safe. The hotel attendant was nice and very helpful. Most hotels in SFO do not have airconditioning/heater, this was also true for... More

This place is ridiculous. There's no parking, no free breakfast, and the WiFi sucks. Plus, our TV didn't work. The rooms are tiny and the beds are terrible. They're old metal spring coil beds! Also, the noise from the street is very much a problem; this is definitely not a quiet hotel. Not even a nice hotel.

It was very noisy, the room had no heater so we froze at night, no extra blankets. The window faced an alley. There were people fighting at night, crack heads talking to themselves, it was insane. We did not get any sleep. On top check out time is at 10am, which is too early.

The staff were behind screens at all times. No night tables, no phone in room, no wifi, no coffee maker, no one made the bed or change the towels. The bathroom was dirty. No screens on windows. I definitely will not stay at this hotel again. The only positive is that the hotel is in a central location, within walking... More

Hotel is in the city center, that's the positives, everything else is negative. It is old building, smell bad, relatively clean, but I feel like something bite me at the whole time. There is hot water and the towels was good and clean. There isn't daily services - nobody clean our room. We are on the sixth floor and there... More
