This hotel is located near the financial district. Walking distance to china town. Long walk to pier and the wharf. This is not a major chain but a chain of several hotels. Check in was assisted by the staff. Mostly performed electronically with the staff answering any questions that a computer couldn't. Helpful was the staff to provide instructions for... More

Club Quarters' location is walkable to the Embarcadero and the Ferry Building as well as the financial district. It's close to lots of restaurants and shopping - right across the street from a movie theater. Hotel staff were consistently helpful and patient over my six -night stay. The restaurant immediately next door was just finishing a make-over so it wasn't... More

In San Fran for a business trip. Spent days in meetings and just needed a quiet place to rest/work afterwards. Starbucks in the same building was very convenient. Within walking distance to BART (even with luggage) and a nice walk to Union Square, shopping, etc. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful to find dining spots/directions, etc. Perfect spot... The staff were very helpful, friendly, and engaging. The facilities were clean, and the spare blankets were comfortable. Guests appreciated the complementary snacks as banana chips, m&ms, and wasabi peas and sodas. The location is wonderful, close to China town and financial district. However, there is room for improvement; the following were observations from a guest: the carpet was a... More

Wonderful spot in a terrific location. I am particularly grateful because I was reunited with a camera I had left at your hotel in February -- was helped in finding it by Liz at the front desk and cannot tell you how much it meant to me to have success. Have been retracing my steps since noticing the camera was... More

I stayed at Club Quarters last week, and the stay was great. I've been to this hotel before, though, so I knew to ask for an INSIDE room: The rooms on the street sides are noisy, and even the alley can be noisy as people take out trash at 3AM. But given that I had an inside room, the stay... More

We go here every time we're in San Francisco. Great location great price. People friendly and nice like Liz. We love her she remembers us a greets us by name, wow! We got married in San Francisco in 2012 and of course stayed here. They went out of their way to make me sure we had not problems.

Rooms are small and the bathroom could use an upgrade. All in all, would recommend! Clean, free bottled water too! I would stay here again, great location and in SF ... ya just need a sleeping spot, right? :)

Club Quarters was absolutely awesome!!! This hotel is the cheapest you're going to find in the financial district while still being a four star hotel. The rooms are great, the pillows are to die for, the lobby area is perfect to get work done (free printing and snacks included!), they have a new restaurant downstairs, and it's walking distance from... The check-in process was smooth and stressless. Very quick and easy. The staff is extremely friendly, competent and helpful . Located right next to the Transamerica Pyramid makes finding the hotel from almost any location of the city very easy. A very important point for one or two days visitors as we think.

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
