We arrived with many bags and there was no bell service. We were only able to get a dolly from the front desk. My friend got three mosquito bites while in lobby/room. The room was crammed like a dorm! Single bed for the two of us to share with single everything! There was laundry (complimentary) on site but it was... More

I've stayed here twice. Great location. Hotel also has a lot of free amenities for guests which is nice. Free laundry, exercise room, wi-fi, computers and probably some other stuff I don't know or care about. Some of the rooms have burners for cooking and I think most of the rooms have refrigerators too. Staff is fantastic. I've dealt mostly... More

I stayed here recently. Great location, nice staff. Rooms are small but you can upgrade for a small price. But who stays in a hotel room while in such a beautiful city! The hotel is close to restaurants with a movie theater is right across the street.

Thank you Sharon W for staying with us and reviewing the hotel on Trip Advisor. You are correct, the location of the hotel makes it easy to explore downtown SF and enjoy the many nearby attractions and restaurants. The upgrade for a small fee is always available based upon occupancy. If we do not pre-sell a suite, our guests can... More

Good location. On my arrival a member of staff made me feel really welcome and when I asked him about the local area he was really helpful. The room was nice. Maybe smaller than expected looking at the photos but it was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The surrounding area and location were great. 3 coffee shops for... More

Thank you Nottingham for choosing Club Quarters Hotel. I'm glad you were comfortable and found the service good. I'd like to say that Beach Blanket Babylon is an excellent show. I hope you had a good time. We look forward to your next stay. Try a superior or suite next time. They are much larger. Thank you again. Patrick Jackson... More

Nice lounge area with snacks (salsa was pretty spicy!), pleasant staff. All the basics are very solid; fantastic location with short walk to BART and far from sketchy SF areas (e.g. Tenderloin). Real estate is at a premium: ceilings are low, rooms compact; double upgrade if you want fridge/microwave. Elevators are annoying if you need to get to basement (for... More

Thank you Dave K for reviewing us on Trip Advisor. I agree that the elevators can be a bit tricky with the floors they service. But, the free laundry and roof top patio are worth it! Our Gold rewards program for members is rich. In addition to the previously available gift cards from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Marks & Spencer, Gap, and... More

Since I paid an arm and a leg for the room (in my world - not so much for SF), I really wanted to be a fan having sent my clients to Club Quarters many-a-time. What I found was a small room reminiscent of a 'Swedish airport-type' room with no safe and the iron/board in a cupboard down the hall.... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with others on Trip Advisor. I'm sorry ViksterCa, that we didn't fully satisfy your expectations this stay. I'm not sure which size room you had booked, but I want to let you know that we have four sizes of rooms here. Our Club rooms are the smallest and we range... More

This property is located across from the Embarcadero Center. It's perhaps a 5 minute walk from the Embarcadero BART station, with service from/to San Francisco airport. The rooms are on the smallish side and efficient, with a good work desk and a comfortable chair. The rooms have a Keurig machine with several free coffee pods, tea and ultrapasteurized creamer. There... More

I stayed at this hotel for several nights on a business trip. The room was tiny and had a window letting in almost zero natural light, but on a work trip that is fine. If I was on holiday I would be upset. There is no bar or food downstairs in the hotel, and you are urged to go to... More

I booked a weekend stay at Club Quarters to take my wife out in SF for her birthday. CQ has competitive rates and superior service. We were welcomed by the staff when we walked thru the main doors. The check-in kiosks are nice for a quick way to get your room key. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed... More

This hotel has just about everything you need for an overnight stay. The rooms are clean, not terribly spacious. Very similar to the equivalent of a Ramada in europe. Not really up to American standards.

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
