When on vacation or business this is a great hotel. The desk staff Sarbi and Elizabeth C. have always been very accommodating and very friendly. AC year round which is a plus! Great Coffee machine with lattes in cozy lobby area.

I've been staying here regularly for years & and have consistently raved about it. That said, unfortunately, the quality of service has really declined. The staff has become less attentive - almost apathetic. No one seems to want to go out of their way anymore. This place's best asset was their ppl and sadly, there seems to have been a... More

We spent a night here and would not make it a place to return. The hotel room was very small and cramped. There was 2 of us and only 2 pillows,2 towels....no room for suitcases and everything is serve yourself from a common area on the floor. It is in a great location to many things to see in San... Love this city! Loved Liz at front desk! She saved us from a tow because of street cleaning...directed us to car drop off and airport shuttle. Very helpful! She's a 10! 🌲City extremely busy with a convention...this hotel is in the financial district...close proximity to some great restaurants too.

I recently attended for a conference and was placed here due to tight availability in the city. So important to read that I did not chose this hotel. I think it would be fine if you were trying to save money or not used to traditional business travel. The staff were nice and helpful at all times. It was a... More

I booked ten rooms for my management team and spouses. Each couple had a pre-payed voucher, with there name on it. Some of the couples had problems getting their rooms as the master reservation was under my name. Some didn't, it seemed to be an issue with only one of the desk people, seems like a training issue. The room... More

Tips while staying at Club Quarters: - Taxi Stand - outside the front door across the street at the Meriden (never had a problem getting a cab) - Liquor Store/Deli – Drumm Liquor & Deli is 0.2 miles away (short walk). Good for picking up snacks or stocking the mini-fridge in the room. - Free coffee on the first floor... More

I was in San Fran for a short business trip and came back to the CQ. Great business hotel and the location is perfect. I was able to upgrade to a suite with a balcony which made the stay even better. The staff was friendly and helpful as always. I tried a quiet pub around the corner for tapas and... More

We love this hotel, We've stayed here many times because it is so very clean, and even though the rooms are small, they have everything you need for a most pleasant stay. It is also in a good area, close to the Embarcadero, The Ferry Building, North Beach and Chinatown. All walkable from this hotel. The staff has always been... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
