I am a flight attendant and stay at the club quarters on layovers and have stayed here for years. Never have I seen a hotel in my 24 years that matches to this hotel. The staff is so accommodating when requesting anything. The rooms have a bit of European flair and you can be assured of a good restful night.... More

This is a reasonable hotel with a lot in its favour. It's close (10mins walk) to the Embarcadero transport interchange - BART to the airport, Muni Metro, California Street cable car. My room was comfortable and clean, the wifi signal was fine, and there was free filtered water and bottles available in the corridor. But it's worth bearing in mind... More

If your looking for someplace that offers more than just a bed. This is the place. I have had the pleasure of staying here more than a dozen times within the last year. Just one of the staff members that does her best that I had observed in the past is Sarbi. You will always be greeted with a smile,... More

I normally like the Club Quarters concept particularly when I'm traveling for business and I've never had problems in other cities but the San Francisco CQ has some issues. Low water pressure in shower was irritating but not a big deal. A non smoking room that smelled like a smoking room was a big deal. I'm still loyal to CQ... More

I was in San Francisco for a layover during one of my trips and was assigned to stay at Club Quarters. I felt so welcomed because they had a crew lounge where we can relax and unwind. The location is excellent. It is near the Ferry Building, North Beach and Chinatown with lots of dining options. The hotel provides many... More

My company uses Club Quarters for corporate meetings and guests traveling to San Francisco from out of town. I had to reserve several rooms for a recent series of meetings, making many changes, amendments and general pain-in-the-neck requests. I worked with Marie Santos, who not only rolled with the changes I needed to make in reservations, but did so cheerfully... More

My boyfriend and I spent a weekend here. We came for a show at the Regency Ballroom. The location is perfect. It was walking distance to our favorite restaurant in Little Italy and it was super close to chinatown as well. It was so easy to find because it's down the street from the Transamerica building. Check in was a... More

This hotel was an affordable and convenient option. I was just steps away from Embarcadero 1 and 2. The rooms are small, but have everything you need. The hotel was quiet, clean, and had some nice amenities such as 24/7 snacks. I don't know if it makes a difference, but my room had a window facing the interior court area... More

I have spent about 9 nights in this hotel over 3 different visits. It is centrally located in Financial District and a short walk from water and Chinatown. But....every time I go here there are picketers across the street at the Westin - they start at 7 am and finish at 9 am. IT IS SOOO ANNOYING. Plus, late at... More

Staff and amenities were wonderful- very hospitable! Room was clean and attiquate. Bathroom not completely updated. We were only there for one night, by accident, due to our other hotel over booking and putting us up for free here, but it was a pleasant stay and the staff did not treat us differently.

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
