For our first trip to San Francisco, my husband and I chose lodging that would put us in proximity to visit all of the popular landmarks. But this trip, our second, was different by design. We chose an accommodation that would provide us a different perspective of SF and the Inn at the Presidio did not disappoint. We took full... More

I loved, loved, loved this hotel. I had never been to San Francisco before and therefore had no idea where to stay. I just got lucky when I picked this inn. The prices were very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area and parking was only 7.00 per night compared to 50 and 60 at other hotels. But really... More

We have been to San Francisco several times over the years, but this time decided to stay in the Presidio, an area we have never visited. The Inn is what used to be the Bachelor Officers Quarters. The rooms are suites - the bedroom is much larger than typical hotel rooms. Then, you get a sitting room with fireplace and... More

We stayed here one night during a visit to the city to see our adult daughter. We had originally wanted to stay here for our full visit, but the Inn was fully booked when we made our reservation. So, we booked our full stay at another hotel, only to end up checking out early due to obnoxious neighbors who were... More

The Inn is in the heart of the Presidio, a great corner of SF. The rooms are large and very well appointed. They have wine and cheese each evening and breakfast is included. The Inn is right next to the Officers Club which has talks and music several nights a week, and there are food trucks on the main green... More

Had wanted to try this property for a relaxing long weekend, and it turned out to exceed our expectations. Beautiful, big, comfortable room(s), bedroom and sitting/living room. More than we needed, but awesome to have windows on both sides=the room is the depth of the Inn. Yes, one can hear the other guests, especially from the hallway or if they... More

We had a top floor suite with wonderful views of the bay. Love the military edge to the decor, entirely in keeping with the age and former use of the beautiful building. It was great to be away from the hustle and bustle but bear in mind the distance when planning your trip. We used the car service, which was... More

Unique hotel in the Presidio in San Francisco. Historic building and historic surroundings. Stayed two nights in March on business. My room was a suite, and very nicely appointed with contemporary furnishings. Clean. Fast internet. Friendly and helpful staff. Self-serve breakfast with lots of choices. View of the bay and the Golden Gate bridge. It does require some willingness for... More

This is not your cable car and trendy tourist San Francisco. This is the Presidio, guardian of the Golden Gate and premier Army post of the US until the 1990s, when the military gave it up to Golden Gate National Seashore. One of San Francisco's newest hotels, the casual Inn now lets you live like a general for a brief... More

We chose this hotel far from the city center based on the wonderful photos of the hotel surroundings on their website. Fortunately for the hotel, the photos were taken on an occasion when there was a momentary gap in vehicular traffic on the road, including trucks and buses. The building is old and not insulated to modern noise standards, so... More
