The staff there were very nice and accommodating. Last year we stayed at the super 8 across the street and it was awful, the country hearth inn is much better!! The breakfast, service, and rooms are much nicer than I had expected here. The breakfast lobby has places to sit while you eat and if you want a waffle they'll... More

Great location: practically next to the Presidio and on a quiet street. Palace of the Fine Arts is a very walkable distance away. Nice restaurants very close by. The people in the front office were friendly and helpful.

The staff is accommodating and friendly.. They gave us many helpful tips. The location is within walking distance from the Golden Gate Bridge. The room is clean and quiet. There are many buses that will take you downtown and to the Wharf. I would definitely return there.

Clean, reasonably priced hotel. The location was good for my business. it's 10 min walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, and 1 hour walk along the bay to the Fisherman's Wharf. Note that number of parking places is limited (around 10), so if you need parking, you may be out of luck. No coffee makers in the room, but... More

the room was average sized, clean, with kind out of date furnishings. it had a nice sized and very clean bathroom. the continental breakfast was small dried out pastries, coffee, and juice. there are 8 parking spaces, and they were all full the whole time. the man at the desk said i could park on the street and i wouldn't... This is not the Ritz, just bare bones lodging. The rooms are on the small side but clean. A refrigerator & safe were in the room. Typical rolls & coffee free of charge in the morning. Internet is free. The biggest plus is free parking, although very limited. If you luck out with one of those spots, take a cab... More

3 of us stayed here for a show at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF. Hotel is literally a 10 minute walk from the theatre. All the staff we met were friendly, polite and helpful. Room was fairly spacious but basic, as you'd expect from the price you're paying for central San Francisco. It was clean, the shower was... More

We were looking for a budget motel. This was a great little motel. Not much parking, but you can also parked on the street. The room was clean and the area was quiet, which was good for sleeping. It's a great little motel if you're looking good for a place to get a good night's rest. Thank you.

The inn is quite accessible to muni bus and near to Golden state bridge and few minutes walk from Presidio. The place pretty quiet with occassional sound of buses passby, bus terminal very near to this inn. Parking lot very limited but you can park outside after 6pm for free. Public transportation is very well established, you don't even need... More

Country Hearth is a small inn located steps from the Presidio, and a very short walk to bus transportation. It is a great place to stay if you do not have your own car; there is very limited parking onsite. As for the rooms, we found our room to be clean and comfortable (yes, a bit worn). Four of us... Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
