We got one bedroom suit, the room is very clean, very spacious. Bed is comfortable, the cable car stop is right down the block. If you need wifi , they charge 7 days for $20, 4 days or less $12. The parking garage is 3-4 blocks away.

I went here last year whilst visiting my sister in the States. The staff were extremely helpful and polite when we asked to change rooms twice. They went out of their sYstem to make our stay pleasant. Very clean. Only downside is that it is right next to the cable car terminus and could be quite noisy in the room.

This place is not so great. It's easier to list the issues here. 1)They have an elevator that serves half the establishment. 2)They don't provide shampoo and conditioner which should Be a given. 3) Some lights in my room didn't work and I was told "oh well, we noted it." When I showed my dissatisfaction with that answer, the front... More

This place is just lovely, from suite that we occupied, to the welcome at reception, the location and everything about the place as a whole. The people are friendly, the place is spotless and the proximity to everything is just the ideal place to stay. Chinatown is a couple of blocks away, Union Square a couple of blocks down the... I enjoyed and felt right at home at my weeks stay at Powell Place /City share. I was most surprised and pleased with my lodgings I could not have of asked for anything better. The staff was fantastic, I was comfortable at seeking advice and information from them on ways to enhance my visit in San Francisco no question was... More

Awesome location and traditional suite style hotel in the centre of San Francisco! We stayed 7 days as part of a time-share with Royal Holiday and will likely return again and definitely stay here! I want to say lots but where to start!? The hotel is a traditional SanFran style suite with small but full kitchens. There are two buildings,... More

. . . but a very charming hotel on Nob Hill. This is not a hotel, per se, but a timeshare resort. Rentals are available, but perhaps not the dates you wish. If you do select this hotel, you will be happy you did. Quality is what they seek. And though some people have complained that they felt they were... More

Powell Place is a great location on Nob Hill. You have your choice of cable cars and public transit by walking half a very small block. You are one block from Chinatown and an easy seven block, downhill walk to North Beach. You can walk three blocks downhill to Union Square. Walgreens is two blocks away and the easiest place... If you can get in here, consider yourself very lucky. It's a timeshare that sometimes has units available. Each unit includes a fully-equipped kitchen -- you may not want to cook with such incredible nearby eating options, but it is convenient. Other features: High quality linens, impeccable cleanliness and service, very friendly helpful front desk people. Some units are "studios"... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
