The location is convenient for walking to Chinatown, Union Square and Russian Hill. The price is reasonable, but with the best will in the world, beyond sleeping there, I didn't feel that I wanted to spend any time at the hotel. I first stayed at the Grant a few years back and returned last week. Very comfortable room, friendly staff, free Wi-Fi in the lobby, plus an excellent location. The hotel also seems to have undergone some renovation as well; bathroom was completely updated. Will definitely return! More

Close to Powell st cable cars and union square. Room was good size, bathroom was clean. Plus there was FREE wireless Internet and computers in lobby (the Internet speed was slow though). More
