I normally prefer to stay at comfy hotels during my Business visits. This was my first time in a B&B and I am happy that I made this choice. This place has the comfort and facilities of a high end hotel with the splendid charm of Victorian home. Cindy welcomed and took me around the place and showed me each... More

Hearing "calm, peaceful, and pleasant" brought a smile to my face. Actually, I was smiling throughout this review because I'm just so glad that you had such a great stay. If you're in town again, I hope that we get lucky enough to see you. All my best, Cindy, General Manager More

We stayed at Noes Nest in Noe Valley San Francisco for several days . Sheila , the Proprietor and her staff treat everyone like they were family. You feel at home immediately! The B & B takes on a personality of its own with unique , mostly retro displays that you marvel at the entire time you are there. Nothing... More

I am not big on b & b's. My wife booked this based on our daughter living only 3 blocks away. Noe's Nest B & B is a trip back in time! You are greeted by the owner Ms Shelia Ashe I believe her name to be. She marches to her own band (60's). She is as intriguing as eclectic!... More

It was such a pleasure to be able to meet you! I'm sorry to hear that you didn't have such a great time with your luggage, but it sounds like you had some nice time to sit back and unwind here, and that's always fantastic. Anytime you want to be taken back in time, we'd love to have you stay... More

Staying at Noe´s Nest is not only getting a room for night and a breakfast the next morning - you get an entire life in San Francisco. The place is full of history, art and fashion, almost like a museum but full of life and Sheila, the owner, knows literally everybody in town. The garden is a refugium of peace... More

We wanted a truly authentic, comfortable B&B near the Mission District for our two-night stay in SF. What we found was better than we could ever expected. Sheila Ash's Noes' Nest is really a museum that magically retransforms itself, every morning and evening, into a lovely B&B. It would more accurately be named Sheila's Museum of Artistically Charming and/or Interesting... More

It's great to hear that you two had such a great time here during your two nights. It sounds like you were absolutely fascinated by all of the antiques, especially the set of Longhorns. Thank you for recommending us to everyone you know -- Shiela and I can't wait to see you back here! Best, Cindy, General Manager More

I returned home to a house full of teens after a crazy week at carnevale in Venice, exhausted. I literally got in my car & escaped! Desperate for sleep I googled nearby B&B's and found this gem. It was the most restful sleep I've had in years. I had the Venetian room with private bathroom which was lovely. Very confortable... More

I love positive out-of-the-ordinary experiences, so that years later you remember the place you stayed as much as the city you visited. Noe's Nest Bed & Breakfast is like that, as quirky as San Francisco in a good way, yet truly "homey" and comforting, not least because of the hostess Sheila Ash, and many of the other guests who cross... Noes Nest is an oasis in the heart of San Francisco. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to stay there on my first visit to the Bay Area. My travel partner and I had left our hotel plans open for San Francisco and were considering the usual motel suspects or a hostel for our weekend in the city. As... More

Staying in Mission District

Neighborhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.
